Siptah: easiest altar to level?

Greetings!
So, looking to achieve all Journey steps I decided to build to the highest level the altar/temple of the first T4 priest I could recruit.
I recruited a T4 Derketo priest, but I am struggling to get tons of insects to level the temple :dizzy_face:.
What is a good option in Siptah? Get a T4 priest and complete the Journey step.

I only ever have trouble finding insects to level a Derketo temple when I’m looking for insects to level my Derketo temple. If I don’t actively look for them, I’ll often wind up coming back to base with one or two full stacks. :woozy_face:

Anyway, Zath, Set, Mitra and Yog have items that only require the religious resource to craft. And if I remember right, Zath’s resource doesn’t have an expiration timer, so you won’t lose any while you’re out harvesting it before you can get back to base.

Set and Derketo are the “easier” religions in Siptah without tier 4 surges. Just by raiding camps, eventually you’ll get the artifacts of these religions.
Zath and Mitra are harder for me all this time, just from raiding camps and wait the rngGesus to “bless”. For Mitra, you already know the camp, it’s the one you camped and i happily learned that Siptah has sinner’s refuge (thank you Wonka). When i started Siptah after release, i was lucky enough to pass by from this camp and gain a lolxd priest, (where are you lol, we miss you :cry:). So if you’ll grind this camp, s little bit more :rofl::rofl::rofl:, you’ll get your self an Asuras chosen, either lol or Vatende will eventually spawn.
Again i will insist on “candies” and ??? From Grey pools. These pools are holding the Key for almost everything. I start farming all the south camps for statuettes. These camps and statuettes on south and Grey pools are giving me “candies”, tablets and multiple ???. I use the tablets and some candies to unlock all the religions without waiting rng. Then i start tier 4 surges on each destination and eventually i have all the religions even Sag, all the priests and no “right to build all these altars :rofl::rofl::rofl:” (joke) .

Changing from efficient harvesting to careful harvesting, this wouldn’t be a problem

If Valeria is on efficient harvesting then use eldarium pickaxe on busses. You aint going to take fiber but with a bit rng your bug issues will be solved :wink:.

I get lots of insects hitting bushes with a pick. Though Derekto may not be the best one. I upgraded my shrine, put in a high priest but the journey step didn’t update. Maybe you’ll have better luck.

Set. There is a 100% spawn rate t4 Set priest at Bastard’s Stand.

This one agrees Set or Derketo.
Derketo spawns are plentiful.
Set has a named spawn that seems extremely reliable as pointed out above.

Derketo is a much larger pain to curry favour with in general. This one hopes she gets an adjustment. Other than naughty stripper suits, she really doesn’t offer much.
However

For easy favour, remember that named Set priest spawn?
Named priests almost always have the item that teaches their religion in their inventory if you slay them.
Those items (the eye of Set in this case, excellent movie reference) are worth a very significant amount of favour when sacrificed to other gods.

This one fully upgraded an Altar to Zath without ever crafting a harvest tool for them, just using tablets and eyes that drop frequently.

For me is ymir
 A single ice gives one zeal,and can be crafted with one shard only
 as for shards use the surge mechanic but not t 4

U can take advantage of the surge mechanic

A t1 surge is pretty easy to defeat and gives a lot of dead bodies (including urs if u die) that can provide essences.
As for the bugs, get a sicle (drops from npcs or craft one) and spent some time gathering plant fibers
 U will end up with a good amount after 5-10 mins of harvesting


Remember the t1 surge also when u need tar/hides/ blood. Easy skinning/butchering can have good results and save u a lot of time/effort.

The plant fibers u gather can also be used to create thick hides (so keep that in mind)

Build a stone golem with a sickle. Put it on guard near your base and command it to gather plant fiber. Soon you’ll get several stacks of insects. Just tale them from it’s inventory and put into your ice box.T4 priest is way harder to get than insects :wink:

A couple of things to consider are as follows.

The second perk in expertise can help gather stuff quicker. Efficient Harvest with a zeal harvesting tool should collect more zeal per kill.

Also as @Eniguman correctly says a t4 set priest spawns at Bastards Stand every time. So instead of choosing Set choose any other religion. Killing this priest will give you set eyes which are worth 20 zeal each in any other alter. 10 of those and you have more than enough zeal to level your alter.

You mean Efficient Harvest will let me harvest 2 or more hearts for Set per NPC?

Yes, but it is random so not every time and it seems to work more frequently on higher level npc’s
