…and it still may present the same issue of EL piece having +20 hp per piece while Siptah will have +200 hp per piece.
This only happens because the Unnamed City drops are weapons and armor, instead of recipes and materials to craft them.
Wouldn’t that just make people stick them on their thralls?
Forgot the part where i said RNG would need to be changed. Which means dont make them soooooo rare, people are worried about losing it. Me personally, i would use a legendary until it hits about 1%, then yes, my thrall may use it. Pvpwise, it would make it less incentive to kill every one of my thralls if you got 99% used gear. I know when we raid, we kill every thrall because they usually have epic gear and weapons (poison ones on Siptah).
True, I didn’t take that into account. I wouldn’t mind the slot machines so much if they weren’t so damn frustrating, but every time the RNG is configured to let most people get the prize in a reasonable amount of time (and that prize is actually good), people start screaming about how it’s OP and meta and PVP is dead now.
I’m still convinced that it’s the slot-machine mechanics that muddle these discussions beyond the usual bickering about meta. Anything that’s RNG-gated will have the same two problems: 1) the RNG percentages are correct in large samples, but people’s individual experiences with the RNG end up being extremely different, and 2) different players place different value on the time spent grinding the RNG.
This is why I keep belaboring my point with quixotic persistence: it would be much nicer if Funcom RNG-gated the crafting requirements rather than the end product. “Why can I never get 7 unobtanium bars from a kill instead of measly 2” feels much less frustrating than “I’ve killed this thing 200 times over the last 3 days and I still didn’t get the Unobtanium Axe to drop”. The cumulative nature of RNG smooths the frustration.
And it’s the frustration that spreads over PVP and PVE both. @Foggy called Undead City “dead content”, because the nerfs (and Siptah gear) made it largely obsolete for PVP. In my cozy little PVE-C world, the Undead City gear still has its cherished place, or it would if it weren’t so frustratingly hard to get due to RNG.
Well, I hope you come back soon, I want to return to exile from Siptah with all my recipes
That’s how it used to be. It led most people to not use them.
i agree with how rng is now, but @codemage has a better idea than th flat rnf weapon drops. Use rare resource instead in those chests, like scrap is now. Rng would be a set range ie 2-10 pieces when you openend them. Then you could crsft the legendary of your choice.
What gear do you look for from unnamed? Vermin Hide?
Reach of the Red Mother, Final Breath of the Red Mother, Festering One, Predatory Blade, Riptide, Quake.
Most of those aren’t best-in-class, but as a PVE player, I have good uses for them.
I can never remember festering one for some dumb reason. I love it but it’s out of sight, out of mind…each and every time.
@erjoh
For me the rarest is the quake.
@CodeMage I am looking for the eye patch too, I love it.
@Foggy you are right, heavy armors were useless back then in pvp servers, the dodge was a joke. Even on pve I didn’t use heavy armor. Later on, before the dodge change that wine cellar arrived, I went with a friend to do the dungeon. After we died sometimes, we understood that naked was better, so naked we remained and finished the dungeon easily without dying again .
If you don’t like it, don’t play and your opinion will remain to yourself, I personally like teleports between servers.
I have transferred characters without issues…
We, the players, sometimes try to do “more” and when we pay the prize we blame the company, not always, but most of the times. Several videos on YouTube, showing glitches and wrong gaming behaviors of the game. Most of the players take the chance, but they do not say the whole truth after they fail… It is a game failure, not their mistake .
The last days I play with @sestus2009. He has a guy in his clan that was asking me all the time about the glitches of the game, he even showed me one. When I gave him to understand that I know nothing about them because I don’t need them, his reaction was… Sestus told me that you know the game well, how come you don’t know how to cheat the game??? My reply ofcurce was… Dude this is a bit insulting, I don’t use cheats because I know how to do everything without them, I just don’t need them (serious tone).
And he changed subject ofcurce…
My dear friend @Pugilist, unfortunately too many players love how to cheat and not how to play… It’s sad, yet I am happy that I am noob after all these years since I don’t know how to cheat
Same.
Ageed . I to am glad that the locust server mold players have lot their toy for awhile.
I guess it would limit it to a certain extent. All you really need is one character with all recipes then server hop.So in PvP even if you kill someone and destroy their base- they still know how to make top tier equipment.
As it is currently i can get maxed equipment for all the servers im on if transfers are in play- without anything in my inventory. All resources can be obtained in game so its just farming time.
My main concern also- attribute and weapon and armor bonuses.
