So many don't chat in global

It also just occurred to me (and saddened me a bit) that when I wrote “a person’s character”, there are probably people who will read it and think I meant their toon…

Chess in history has always had an aire of sophistication.

Conan?

Not so much.

When he had a problem he killed it.

Lol

Excellent debate points fir the sake of a debate win.

Excellent point

But

Funcom represented by its own employees cannot uphold their high standards they hold us to.

If they cant do that they should repeal perma ban.

So because you don’t treat the game with the same respect as chess, this gives you the flexibility to be offensively vulgar as a player towards other players?

Am I hearing this right?

Ah, yes, the good old “debate me, bro” argument.

You’re the one treating this as some kind of an abstract debate, desperately trying to prove your point.

Me? I’m here because your clickbait topic title pulled me in. I gave you the silent benefit of the doubt for the paltry few posts it took you to show your true colors. Now I’m just here to enjoy your frustrated wriggling and to see how long the others will indulge your trolling

You sound like a debate troll

The original point which I may have not been too clear on was player tactics in game and others came in and targeted the term trash talk and… Feeling a bit anxious I entreated their target.

The point of the thread was apparently lost

I’ll speculate why people dont talk. Talking invites targeting, which often leads to even more aggressive talk. Players get trained to just say nothing and keep their head down. Engaging in chat tends to lead to a spiral of just offensive taunts eventually. Its almost an internet law at this point. When you dont know the other people, the more casual players will preemptively keep their guard up. The more die hard… well… their filter is not so circumspect…

I used to be open more back in 2019/2020 when the pvp player base was more grounded but as the months went on, all I was getting was players trying to leverage coms and friend status to get an upper hand in play. I just stopped being open to it all.

Thank you Darth.

The only one that replied on topic.

I suspected one time that people were afraid of being targeted.

Talk amongst friends happens and our language gets out there.

Sadly others will use it to strike an assault or use it for vengeance.

Ok I’m done with this.

Thanks Darth.

Bro, this is a video game. Not war. Just because your pixels on a screen are trying to kill someone else’s pixels on a screen doesn’t mean you have to devolve to slurs and personal attacks. That’s probably why so many people got banned.

Given your fixation on the invaders all being Brazilian leads me to believe that some genuinely heinous racist things were said. If you kept it in game, their nationality wouldn’t matter.

You targetted the wrong topic here

Read Darth’s response

I read what you said, and I picked up on the part you don’t want to acknowledge.

I’m also not hearing any denial on if that’s what happened

Why not? You didn’t PVP hard enough to beat the owner of the server and lost. Take your loss like a man.

More importantly, it’s also part of Funcom’s rules for their servers. You’re free to be bigoted, hateful, or political on other servers.

If being unable to use slurs or spread your political views is what’s ruining the game for you, then you’re not really focusing on the game, are you?

But hey, if there are enough people who share your opinion, then there has to be a private server out there catering to you, right?

Don’t worry, though. Even if there isn’t one, you don’t have to question your own opinions, beliefs, and values. You can start your own server, instead, and all these multitudes of oppressed players will flock to it and you’ll be the most popular player of all Conan Exiles players!

Ah come on! I find it funny that I’m being associated with 1)anything left wing and 2) Gen Z.

No society is going down the toilet because someone actually compared playing a game to actual war. To me, that is a slap in the face and disrespectful to anyone who has had to actually fight in a real war.

Edit.
To be clear you can say we going to war with your friends when you are about to raid, but to equate it so you can justify racist, sexist, etc. comments in a chat room is a different level.

 You got me all wrong, @biggcane55 and are actually agreeing with what I wrote. I said society is going down the drain because people don’t care about respecting each other.
I also said you can’t compare war type of aggression with videogames type of aggression. They don’t live in the same planet. Insults in a war are mostly irrelevant because there’s so much more at stake that dwarfs verbal abuse. In a game, there’s no reasonable justification for insults beyond lack of self restraint.
