There is no “9999 bug.”
9999 ping just means your system was unable to communicate with the server, which could be caused by any of many different issues.
9999 ping is a symptom of some issue, it is not an issue in itself.
Would you mind providing a source?
That is just how pinging works. All it means is that your system was unable to receive a return ping within the time limit.
If you are making the claim that it means something more than that, then you are the one making an extraordinary claim and need to provide a source.
Appreciate the explanation and I’m not making any claim other than the server list generally being, well, buggy.
In my experience 9999 is a problem server side, like a crash and taking time to be reachable again. Makes sense why Deac assumed the servers went down.
But they’re also not on the board just before then either.
Most of the time it is, but the problem can be on your end or anywhere between too. The failed ping does not diagnose why it failed, it only tells you that it has.
ETA: Had to explain on a discord what i meant about Jimbo being my best frenemy
