So, Turtles, amirite?

In the way back of April, 2024 we got this notification:

Has anything ever been released about this?

Did we all just delete our pet turtles or was there an update that fixed this and nothing was ever said in the patchnotes?

Also:

There is nothing in the June patch notes about either of these items.

This type of communication is as unacceptable as it is common and an established practice.

Perhaps someone at Funcom can use this brand new technology called a list and update us on those items until they are resolved, then cross them off the list.

Or, and this is crazy talk, a table, with date reported/confirmed, development timeline, testing, QA, release, close date, all posted on the forums so we don’t have to go through pages of patch notes trying to discern if the bug reported years back has ever been addressed.

The current system of empty platitudes and hoping we will go away is an unsatisfying customer experience.

Hell I would still love to see bushes in forest areas so I don’t have to go to the coasts to harvest plant material. It was the sacrifice to get tree foliage and never fixed.

I just started over on the Isle of Siptah, and I briefly considered grabbing a turtle as a pet.

Then I remembered.

The horror. The horror.

To be entirely fair, they don’t, historically, seem to like Siptah much.
We finally got destroyable raid bases, and the Sacred Hunt was fully implemented. But the Age of Sorcery event is still only partially implemented. To say nothing of the entire faction that now ignores the truncheon.

While Conan Exiles will not leave Early Access until the day it sunsets… Siptah likely will never leave paid beta test ever. Part of this can possibly be traced back to a comment from in high when people inquired about incomplete DLCs (only one side facing curtains, or missing sloped walls/fence foundations, unimplemented weapons of the thrown variety) that they would not be going back and adding to DLCs as there was no financial incentive to do so. This was pre-Tencent and pre-Siptah.
Siptah ( the map) as DLC has left it in this uncomfortable only quasi-supported state.

But that’s something of a tangent.

The core point is that this one doubts anything that might drive players off Siptah or is only a Siptah problem will ever be considered a priority because there is at least a small sentiment on high that wishes Siptah would just disappear.

How do you explain all of the Siptah shtuff in the Exiled Lands? They like it more than you think.

what do you mean, there is hardly any Siptah stuff in Exiled Lands…I’m seriously scratching my head. Do you mean those few weapons they introduced in Age of War?

The simple fact that they have added stuff that had been previous Siptah exclusive to the exiled lands in, frankly, haphazard ways just shows how LITTLE respect and care they have for Siptah, which is the antithesis of what you are attempting to point out here. Making previously exclusive items now free drops in random crates that are exceedingly easy to get with no effort required on the part of the player (you can get them while still in simple coarse fiber bindings and having killed not a single mob) makes that previous exclusivity seem rather…lackluster now does it not?

Those, and the Decaying Eldarium which was also added at the same time. I think there were some other things as well if I am not mistaken.

well you are mistaken…the weapons can be counted on one hand…literally. And the Eldarium was hard to get and was a bug that got removed. I think it was a rare item in floatsome crates.

And some other thing is probably just the recipes you can get from the rare insect event, which are useless because you can’t really get Eldarium. I have 2 recipes even…

Was hard to get?

Now that is a joke and a half.

And at what point am I mistaken? Were those weapons not added? Nope, they certainly were so I was correct about that. Was the Eldarium not added? Nope, that certainly was as well. So what exactly are you attempting to argue here?

ok then, how much Eldarium did you farm opening floatsome crates? And how many recipes do you have to use them?

5 weapons and an already removed loot bug is hardly the equivalent of “destroying Siptah Items exclusivity by adding them to Exiled Lands”
Again, Eldarium is not “added”…it was a bug. Or is there still a way to gain Eldarium right now?

I guess then, for you winning the lottery is also child’s play, because that is also a game of probability.

I really do not remember at this point as I haven’t even logged in in about 2 months. But I had quite a fair amount of bars cooked up sitting in my chest. If you knew which chest dropped it it wasn’t very hard to farm it.

As for recipes, I never attempted to get any before I stopped playing due to the horrid decisions they kept forcing down our throats so 0. :stuck_out_tongue:

Every thrall I had was sporting a previously Siptah exclusive weapon because it was easier to get those than anything else, and they were far better than what was around as well.

Mind you, I happened to build near the pirates before I knew all this was added.

wrong gain, none of the EL meta weapons is from Siptah. Not sure what you consider “far better” than Momentum for example.

the only way to get Eldarium in EL was via floatsome crates, and the chance to have Eldarium inside was tiny…so you either ground these crates a fair amount of your life span, or you are talking out of your behind. I assume it is the latter.

so no, it was hard to get because of low probability…and is again impossible. Which leaves only the weapons, and even here the only 2 Weapon introduced that were superior to what was in EL was the Sword of the Champions (there literally are no other Short Sword drops in EL), Hunger Blades (no other Dual Axes drops either) and BlackClaws (also no legendary drops of that type). Not sure if people commonly put these on thralls anyway, since Blood Chrystal Chakram is better than those Dual wield weapons anyway.

Graceful Night as well.
It’s a Katana that sometimes drops in the Dregs (spider boss) or Silver Mine (skeletal Serpentman).
Not that it matters when Musashi’s Black Blade is available so easily. But at least it looks nifty as an illusion.

This one personally wishes there were more Shortswords on the Exiled Lands.
Perhaps add them to Black Ice weapons.
Or perhaps a Blood Crystal version. We have two blood Crystal Spears already…
Mayhaps import some of those delved recipes that are completely inferior to Voidforged or other drops on the island (mind you, the general uselessness of most of the delved recipes is it’s own issue)
But honestly, they are painfully under supported.

That said, this one doesn’t see importing as an attack on Siptah so much as addressing some glaring absences in the laziest way possible.
Cluck, there are still remnant items from the days of server transfers.
Just last week this one got to sink several stacks of eldarium, a few sets of feroxic daggers and pikes, and several sigils to Lord Dagon after a fool didn’t look behind them while going in thru their front gate.

RE: Elderium in the Exiled lands.

The purges are a continued source of Elderium and schematic fragments are another way to get Siptah weapons.

Many of the named bearers and dancers are Siptah thralls and many of the scrolls both mobs drop and are included as purge rewards are from the Siptah loot table

No, YOU are wrong mr. “I want to argue about nothing even when I know nothing about what the fvck I am talking about”

You literally cannot get the “meta” weapons in the area you can get the Siptah weapons in the Exiled lands, and had you bothered to actually read, which at this point I am highly doubting your ability to actually do so, you would have seen:

Yeah, you seemed to be missing that vital bit of information there. WHAT WAS AROUND! AKA, what was available IN THAT AREA. Bloody hell you are thicker than a brick wall it would seem.

Can you get Momentum in that area?

But by all means, you seem to be the expert on all thing you tell me. Where in the O8 does Momentum drop now that world boss’s do not have chests any longer and their keys require you to travel to dungeons in order to open them?

Yeah…thought so.

Thank you @Pugilist it was the scrolls I was thinking of but I couldn’t remember exactly what they were called.

it is a random chest drop…you get it from dungeons. If you mean by “around” the confines of your base, you have a point.
But then you must be refering to Reinforced Stool, Table Leg and Glasser from the crates, which have always been available in EL.

So what are you unhappy about? Things that have been in Exiled Lands for ages anyhow? You just didn’t know it?

Yup, Siptah exclusive items have made their way into EL as early as AoS.

Breaking down items for eldarium, decaying eldarium, schematic fragments > Siptah recipes, blood/venom caches (what are they called again?), various ???.

This one thought, and please correct if this one is in error, that there was a patch that caused items that should dismantle to eldarium to instead become star metal on Exiled Lands maps?

Indeed but when it was available it was *exploi… ahem farmed like mad.

There is and has been Siptah stuff in the Exiled Lands for some time now. From flotsam crates to weapons and even creatures in some events. I view it as they are very proud of what they have created and since I don’t play Siptah, they are bringing it to the Exiled Lands in an attempt to get me to like it.

I see your point, and even agree with it a bit. Personally, I hate flotsam crates in the Exiled Lands but just feel that someone is super-proud of some items and attempting to put them in everyones hands.
