Some misc AoS mechanical observations

This one is more just for informational purposes than bug hunting. Maybe it will be useful to folks and maybe not. Obviously this is all subject to change and maybe some of it isn’t actually intended behavior, but it’s how things stand right now.

  • It looks like maybe you do keep your uncorrupted attribute bonuses. At least the ones I could observe just fiddling with resetting attributes. For example, the strength perk that reduces armor weight looked like it was still in effect after being corrupted. Maybe someone could verify this one?

  • You get 5 souls per sacrifice regardless of thrall tier. Whether it’s a T1 exile fighter or Dalinsia.

  • Like souls, you also only get one sacrificial blood per sacrifice regardless of thrall. However, the altar can only hold one unbottled blood at a time. If you have some in the altar, you have to bottle it before you can perform another sacrifice.

  • You can store tamed thralls in the grave, but not the altar. Furthermore, you can stuff 20 of them in there at a time. The grave can only convert combat capable thralls though. So while you can still bury your blacksmiths and tanners and whatnot alive, you just can’t turn them into zombies. Even if you really, really want to.

  • There appears to be a bug on the summoned horse where the inventory icon is replaced with a second mount icon. Mechanically it works fine. Just click the button and the inventory window opens. It just displays as a second mount button.

  • The Elixir of Rebirth, which rerolls follower perks, does work on zombies. Zombies are temporary followers with a somewhat long lifespan, so you’ll probably want to keep that in mind.

  • Yes, the bat can carry you if you are overburdened, so feel free to gather all the stone you can and wolf down as much chocolate ice cream as you want. Generally speaking though, I think you’re still likely going to be better off just using a mount if you’re going any significant distance.

  • Speaking of the bat, no, slow fall does not last long enough to make it worth casting before summoning the bat. It’s very likely going to run out long before it can do you any real good. Stick to cliff jumping.

  • Speaking of slow fall, skirt + slow fall = giggles. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

  • From my testing, the summon corpse spell will summon the farthest corpse away from you. You can then cast it again to summon the next furthest away, then the next and the next until all your corpses have been recalled. You do get the LOC Tainted debuff each time you cast the spell however.
