Sorcerous tidal wave

I realize this idea is most likely technically staggering if not nigh impossible to pull off accurately.
I’ve only seen waves generated in two other apps. One was a Linen Labs “MMO” app and the other in a Bethesda SP game centered around a province of Tamriel. However, both cases the waves were phantom, but somehow folks in the first case were able to surf.
Okay, I’ve read mention of Subotai (that Conan character being a real life surfing champion out of Hawaii).
Anyway:
Sorcerers call down lightning and meteors which happen to be full of harvestable star-metal (If you survive). Am I right?
I take a long look along the river in the Exiled lands and it often makes me think of all those “condo” settlements there. I don’t know about anybody building a purge base there anyway.
Well, if nothing else as something of peculiar interest.

On the off-hand.
Some lunatic sorcerer NPC or some crazed sorcerer player decides to “clean up the place” along the river by sending a flood along the river. Perhaps a targeted “surge flood” that rises at some point and drops downstream.
Ever worse, (shivers at the thought) a nasty “wipe” to clear out the trash with a giant wave that comes from the East. Give them a warning at least!
Only those on higher ground are safe.

As much fun as it sounds, i think it would be difficult for them to implement in a meaningful way. Honestly, i think the Sandstorm was to be their parade horse of sorts, with potential destruction caused by it along with Sandbeasts moving inside the Sandstorm. There is even mention of the latter in one of the first voiced journals you find.

They were not able or chose not to do this however, for whatever reason. I suspect it was also quite difficult to do.

If anything i more or less expect them to do something with that, and/or raving bands in the place of the old purge.

However, the old purge has also been removed of course…

I figured it would be practically impossible to pull it off (considering the technicalities behind it). It’s just a wild hair idea that came to mind after some experience with the new purge sorcerers were brought in to grief us (at our beckon call … LOL) and I also realize it would not be one of those “popular” things.
Yeah, I agree the sandstorm didn’t quite turn out “complete” as was planned, although by itself can be pretty nasty without shelter or a sandstorm mask.
It is nonetheless a terrifying thing to see.
I did notice the old purge had been removed (completely?) and I can understand why it was.

Personally I just pretend it’s all the damn sorcerers and their spell casting that has distorted harmonic reality on a quantum level which is causing people to fall through solid objects, etc.

Sorcerers, the roaches of Hyboria.

LOL.
Good call.
I had not even thought of that.
