Absolutely. If they can’t deal with the hackers now then at least make the impact of this temporary with ability to re-learn, until it can be addressed.

I’m surprised they’ve kept this thread up this long, i have made multiple and they deleted all of mine saying this is not an issue they need to fix.

I’ve been putting tickets in for 3 months to have my character fixed and their only solution is to tell me to remake my 5 year old character and lose pre-transfer also unobtainable siptah recipes lmao i did testing and knowledge can be added back manually through the save file using the knowledge id. takes 5 minutes.

Unfortunately we just had the recent bug patch so it’s another 6 months till they MIGHT fix this.

support staff is so tone deaf when it comes to telling people to wipe old characters.

word for word i was told after explaining i can’t remake due to even rarer recipes i still retained:
"You should be able to have the lost knowledge by recreating a character, or even creating a new character on another official server and/or single-player.

If this is not the case, please, let me or our support team know."

oh of course how silly of me to not think of this after 3 months

ridiculously out of touch

Hacker related threads seem to stay up now.

This is unacceptable. Even if you were an isolated case that isn’t the reality of the situation. Many players are in the same boat as you on all 3 modes.

Seems there are 3 options:
They do as they have and choose to put the burden of responsibility on you, which is not addressing or fixing it.
They fix the hacker problem which most of us know is a losing battle.
Or in the interim they put in measures like OP suggested to mitigate the damage.
