The perks such as Demon lord, desecrate, tainted vessel, and others like them later on should actually be rituals that you can put on yourself which would allow more options in for your character.
Could also be sorcery artifacts that can have different effects that can help in pvp / pve
That’s actually not a bad idea. Sorcery is often considered too weak for the sacrifices one has to make to become corrupted, and losing access to uncorrupted perks isn’t helping.
So, gaining the benefits of both corrupted and uncorrupted Perks would make corruption more attractive, even if you could choose only one Corrupted perk at a time as your “ritual buff”.
Thankyou, yes there would have to be a limit on how many ritual buffs you can keep active for balance(just off the top of my head one for offense, defense and utility at the same time)
so what could come into play is I have authority corrupted I now get access to the rituals that provide buffs available in the authority spell line, same as strength, and vitality, this would also allow us to corrupt the other attributes because you get ritual buffs for agility and the others so now you can enjoy both normal perks and corrupted perks like you wrote and still be balanced (because the corruption of the attribute gives you access to ritual spells now instead of the stats) the previous existing effects on the corrupted attributes would become ritual buffs instead so now you can have the effect you want in the situation you want it in… for example you would use to have (petrify) in vitality but there is no poison or disease around if you did find that around you would activate the ritual to gain the buff for that if you had corrupted your vitality BUT if you wanted to have another buff on you could and use a potion of set antidote, it would be your choice.
This would not take away from people who like corrupted strength melee as corrupting your strength attribute would grant you access to strength based rituals.
So just to further explain to make sure I’m understood…you still put points into your normal attribute tree, normal perks are still the same you keep those, now as you add more corruption to any attribute you gain access to rituals related to that attribute. Still have the rituals you leveled up but you gain new ones depending on what attributes you corrupted. (The offense, defense and utility ritual stay active until you cancel it or choose another ritual from the one available)
Oh and you still get 1/2 corrupted bar no getting out of that one
