Starmetal had its issues on PC and they did patch it, at least so I can farm it now, with the DLC-“patch”.
Just wait for the parity-patch for consoles which was, unfortunately, just delayed according the last weekly newsletter.
I just mined some using the grease. Fire, and gas orbs not too long ago. I managed to get around 4 nodes pretty reasonably but the 5th node used up a ludicrous amount of orbs and refused to break. About 15 minutes in and I gave up on it. Hopefully it’s not a permanent issue for you.
