Steam client vs stand-alone client - same account can use either?

Hi,

I’ve got an old Funcom client since TSW that was later migrated to SWL for its launch. And then they launched on Steam.

I seem to remember from the Age of Conan days that you couldn’t play on your “legacy” account with the Steam client… does the same apply to SWL?

I wanted to install SWL again just to experience that Kaidan atmosphere again, and maybe play through the “new” region (South Africa is it?), just want to know which client I can use… much less hassle just downloading on Steam, if I can. :slight_smile:

Nevermind, just logged in to my account and saw I could convert to Steam account… problem solved :smiley:

I would highly recommend against that. Steam has issues that you don’t get with the regular client. And the process is irreversible.
