Stop the manipulative FOMO tactics, and you will sell more in the Bazaar

We might actually be seeing some changes to how the Bazaar and Battle Passes works.

There was no lesson to be learned. The influencers that criticized the update missed the mark. The issues they brought up didn’t affect everyone as similarly as they thought (and I don’t blame them for this since there wasn’t a way for players or devs to predict the level of universal impact due to how different people use their controls) and even many weren’t much affected at all.

So there are many players unaffected, or less affected who found an item they really like and felt it was worth their time and money. They are not wrong for feeling this way.

What is wrong is to criticize those who do find value in what they like to purchase. That is between them and their own wallet and no one else’s business.

It doesnt read that way. The bazaar/bp is not auction or speculative. Items are not resellable or loot box style. From what that article says, the only change someone might see is a popup that says “This will bring your monthly spend to Xx, are you sure you wish to proceed?” Or something to that effect.

Yeah if anything, some of the family will not be contributing for a bit as the restructure their games and that means they will count on the others like FC to make up the slack in revenue.

Ha!

Funcom introduced a faster rotation of Bazaar items with Chapter 3, so the wait times should be a lot less. The main issues I have with the Bazaar and Battlepass is a) price creep and b) the inability to use Bazaar and Battlepass items without an internet connection.

If the game would run smoothly and every mechanic would work as intended, i could understand it to some degree.
Quality has a price.
But the game is unplayable, in fact we ask ourselves if there even is a single mechanic that isn’t broken.:person_facepalming:

If someone would have asked me one year ago if i can recommend CE, i would have answered:
“It has some flaws but yes”.
Now i would just straight up say “NO! Stay the f**c away from this”. :man_shrugging:

What is a shame we all saw the potential, but maybe that’s one of the problems.
Maybe we fooled ourselves and didn’t see what it really was, we saw what it could have been.
:pensive:
