Struggle & Survival: A hard mode experience

,

Looking for more of a challenge out of Conan Exiles? Then come play on my new server located in NYC, hosted by GTX Gaming.

Name: Struggle & Survival
Direct Connect: 66.235.169.73:7905
0.5x Harvest, 1x XP, 2x NPC damage, resource/NPC respawn rate halved
Raid 24/7, but building damage is halved
Max clan size is 3 people
Longer days, but also longer nights
No map rooms
Crafting resources above iron tier are removed from NPC loot tables and some recipes are changed (Steel Makes Sense mod)

This server started out as me tweaking a single player experience to be more challenging, then deciding it would be better if other people could join me. Opening up raiding to all hours is a personal preference and being that it’s pretty rare, I wanted my server to offer that option. It’s also fitting for a “hardcore” server, imo. Halving building damage and the relative scarcity of resources should discourage base wiping.

I am and will forever be the only admin. Chat will not be moderated; if you have an issue with someone just mute them. Admin functions will only be used to deal with bugs and cheaters. I’ve created a subuser account that allows anyone to access the admin command logs, the details for which are in the server MOTD. The current slot limit is 20, which I can increase if necessary. Hope to see you on the server.

Man, I wish PS4 could have some sort of no map room setting for our private servers. I really feel that it cheapens regional warfare, and actually encourages griefing because of the ease of bouncing around the map. Why even care where you build when you can port 2 minutes to any resource with a map room in base. Good luck with this, and would love updates on how the players feel about it.

Checking this server out, it’s kind of nice to have a near vanilla experience without having to worry about the cheaters or just spammed platforms and such, tbh. Kind of liking how difficult it is, too, especially where I ended up building. Rough life, but… satisfying.
