In another thread, I saw a request for bringing back the old spear animations.
After watching Neebs gaming, I happen to agree. The old spear animations were really cool, and I’d love to have them back. However, the new spear animations are also good for other purposes.
So I’d like Glaives to be introduced to the game. They’d use the old spear attacks and the heavy attacks could be similar to the great axe.
Which got me thinking… What other weapons not currently in the game would be cool?
Other ideas I’ve had:
Scythes (arching light, circular heavy. Look at the Dervish class from Guild Wars 1)
Single daggers (Faster attack speed, shorter range, parry?)
Halberd (The great axe’s light attacks would be perfect on it.)
They were once in the game and some remnants of them remain within the admin tools. I’d like to see these reintroduced. They could fire slower than bows or be unusable from a mount, but deal more base damage.

Throwing Orbs:
There was some data on new throwing orbs found with Siptah, I think? It included bone shrapnel, bees and glowing goop if memory serves. Orbs can add interesting dynamics to combat. Further expansion on this idea would be interesting - healing orbs, corruption orbs, etc.

Sorcery:
It is possible to obtain and equip the move bags from various creatures and use their attacks. Such as tchu tchu’s fire hands or rainbow roar. FC can develop this system to make “weapons” or “talismans” to equip and use magic that is actually balanced with us using them in mind.
Yeah maybe. Some sort of sorcery system would have an impact as least as great as mounts were to how we play the game (good or bad). Given that sorcery was an early goal, the tools exist already to makeshift it ourselves and the recent events emphasis on it, I wouldn’t be shocked to find out sorcery was in the works.
