Suggestion to improve game performance

I had a boss who’s feedback on tasks generally sounded like: “I don’t like it. Fix it!” The original post reminds me of this boss a great deal.

Very general and broad comments. Some hint of a direction to proceed, however, so at least it is slightly better than that old boss…

I find myself agreeing with the other posts which explain why the original post is not likely to happen more.

One original point that i believe was missunderstood was in a limit to the building pieces. Or I am misunderstanding. I think that simply worded statement of ‘fix it’ was intended to suggesting limiting the number of placed objects vs limiting the number of objects available to be placed. either way, it isn’t one I agree with. as a broad term.

I could see a a request that increases the amount of upkeep required as the number of placed items increases. if beyond a certain defined threshold, a player or clan were to be required to haul materials and a repair hammer to manually repair structures (not just magically touch them to reset a decay timer), that might help curtail some of the excessive builds and land claims.

Perhaps within a radius of the very first piece placed, this doesn’t apply. anything outside of that requires manual maintenance, even if it is a contiguous structure.

However, I expect this would be very challenging to implement and i am not a programmer or mod author. I like to brainstorm ideas and offer alternative suggestions, but never insist that my way is the only way.
