Suicidal thrall takes lava bath in volcano

[On official 1653, I was in the volcano in a safe position with a thrall in tow. I needed to cross a lava flow, so for safety I told her to stop following. She immediately jumped in the lava. Lost a valuable tier 4 thrall Eina the Light, full set of silent legion armor, full set of epic flawless khitan imperial armor, and venom-infused pike.

Reporting this as a bug because I’m assuming thralls aren’t supposed to jump in lava and are supposed to stand still on a stop follow command. Also would be awesome-sauce if I could get at least the thrall back… :slight_smile: ]

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Be in volcano near a narrow lava flow with thrall in tow.
  2. Tell thrall to stop following, observing that the thrall is no longer in follow mode.
  3. Jump across lava flow.
  4. Thrall disappears and event log says she died.

sadly, it is our experience as well. do not take anything you can’t lose in the volcano. pets, thralls, gear, anything. the volcano is deadly.

Lava is very bad, and deadly for thralls mostly. We have all experimented that in the past at least once.
Best is not take valuable thralls and pets inside the volcano, or let them in the upper part. But also some ways leading to the volcano can be deadly for thralls.

What i do mostly, i tame some thralls in the volcano, mostly set-up a small base there, and let them some there. So they don’t need move to much, just help to guard my wheel, and my outpost there.

Welcome to our community.
Thralls and lava is a well documented hate-hate relationship in Conan Exiles. On the plus side, our team is now working on a few tricks to let them know that perhaps that steaming hot river of death isn’t that much of a pleasing experience.
