The short of it is I knocked out Master Alchemist Rashida. The purge wasn’t over. I left her in the hut to look for another named thrall. When the purge ended Rashida was gone.
Is it not possible to capture multiple thralls during a purge? There were a total of four during this purge. Did Rashida just vanish when the purge ended or did she bug out and fall into the world?
This was my first purge this “solo” session. It’s over and I’m empty handed. I’m kinda upset.
Been waiting, wanted to see what named thralls would appear. Thought I was ready, brought a Treasure Seeker thrall to watch the base. A minor insignificant single hut no benches, base. Set the Treasure Seeker thrall to guard.
I failed to draw away Seeker Iris and an archer before my thrall killed 'em. I knock out Rashida and went after a smith. Then the purge ended and everyone went home… including, I guess, Rashida.
I might have screwed myself. I exited the game to write the above. After reloading I returned to the hut and still no Rashida. I then ran a significant distance and returned again, still nothing.
You’re issue is you allowed the purge to end before place the thrall on the wheel. I noticed this recently where the knocked out thrall simply vanish when the purge is over. They used to remain knocked out after the purge ended but they don’t after the last patch. Best to get them on the wheel before the purge ends.
I don’t know if this is intended or not but my guess is it changed to save memory on the server.
Walk to were she was, and aim on ground in 1st person. Walk about. (preferably at ground level)
She “is” or “was” under ground. When you turn camera away, whats render behind you isnt same as when your looking forward. She’s was likely fell thru hut floor, or ground is under it.
(its about 2 feet below) (long as there undermesh below you)
Same with kill npc, looking away and coming back to find them missing. aim down at ground and walk about were they are. You’ll often get info tag thru ground.
Its not prefect way mind you… I’ve looted/recovered alot of items/people this way.
Besides the advice others have mentioned above if knocked out thrall disappeared you can log out and log back in majority of the time thrall will be right where you knocked them out at
I logged out and in, she was not there. I ghosted and looked under foundation. she was not there.
I believe Wak4863 is correct. The purge ended and she vanished just like all other aggressors that were still alive when the purge ended. This implies if you don’t have a nearby WoP, then you can only get one thrall per purge.
I had four lesser wheels at my home base. I should have destroyed the initial temporary hut, so the purge attacked my permanent base. That way I could have grabbed a thrall and put it in a wheel before going after another.
I’ve had a few laying about ground, which I drag 20m, and kept flopping back and forth to drag them across map.
Non-Purge, most dispear when I got to far, thou a few, would reset back to there spot, and be found floating, or laying on ground knocked out still.
Logging out, was likely the cause, or they fell to far thru floor. I can often cycle thru corpse and ko’d to nitpick what i want before alot of it goes poof.
