Tamed pets decay while in the pen

I lost two wolves 5-6 day after being tamed in my T3 pen.

This actually sounds quite likely, but applies to already grown pets. The other issue is babies dying while growing. So I think we have 2 separate issues here

Can you confirm whether the hotfix that rolled out today is fixing this issue? I’ll test it myself later on in any case.

Those two made my day. You are funny.

Just need a single piece of ice in those. Without the box wont work, that is true.

Okay, so I can confirm that sticking a pet in an icebox with ice halts the timer. I had one I put in this morning (ie, pre-hotfix) and it hasn’t gone down at all. Now I’m checking whether pets in the pen are still ticking away.

For if it helps: Yesterday I disconect at 22h aprox. and I re-connect at 7h. When I first turn off, the pen was full of plant fibers and 2 blue turtle childs. When I entered again after the 9 hours, the two little turtles were growed and death with the pen almost plenty of fiber.

I hope it helps
Edit: playing on a Ps4

Pets in the pen follow this pattern, it seems (numbers are arbitrary):

Put in the pet with (say) 10 hours, 0 minutes 0 seconds left on the timer.
Leave the pet in the pen (with food of course!) for exactly 2 hours.
Take the pet out - the timer will read 8 hours left. A second or so later, it will pop back to 10 hours (and continue ticking down, as per normal).

I am not sure what would happen if one were to leave the pet in the pen for 11 hours in the above scenario (testing it currently). But I am afraid it might die before whatever “correction” takes place kicks in.

Additional info:
The pet in question was tamed pre-hotfix. Not sure if that matters. It’s a rocknose (regular).

I’m pretty sure now that’s what’s happening in my case. They die because their inherent timer kills them while they’re in the animal pen as babies.
