It’s understandable that changing the foundation of the games code to fix the Purge system is difficult and takes time. So, why not have a patch? Use a craftable item in game to allow a player to summon a Purge upon them. Can have it area related, or possibly make the items permanent and have their use be to summon an unrelated Purge to the area. Ex: Dogs of The Desert token used in the north to summon. Could have the tokens be tiered and the crafting get more difficult. Creative way to patch, and new content players will love.
