I have noticed that on some attacks NPCs initiate their heavy attacks a bit far off me, and their 1st light attack in some case misses, it’s like the npc doesn’t want to aim properly at me. But when they visually touch me most of the times the attack does not deal damage.

While im happy that I will use my thievery skills freely once again, this change should be related for theft only, destroying should makes names appear, but anyway, I like this change, thanks FC, good move.

And the weapon changes on Mace, Hammer, Daggers and Sword, :clap: keep ‘em comming, we still need some of their animations faster. (1st heavy Mace, 4th light Sword).

Hell YEAH they did!!! I might even log today to take a walk around to see if there is something to be stolen and not just refresh my house.

Just tested a fight with a dagger wielding NPC. SO 1st light attack misses the 2nd one hits. First heavy attack lands but 2nd misses, this is while i am being stationary so that the NPC can land a hit on me.

I just tried it, and it works, it’s not perfect sync, but it works and it’s cool. With audio localisation, it’ s better for immersion, for rp. Good work, funcom.

They might work on “interactions” in player cities
merchant, things like that.

Single-Player

So i had my suspicion on what might cause duplication on NPCs and mobs. While trying to figure out how chest respawn items i figured out one way to duplicate npcs and how to respawn items in the chests. It seems if you encounter an NPC camp and do not kill anyone and just leave the whole general area in this case the current map grid you are on and return to said map grid, the items you have looted from the chest will respawn and new NPCs will spawn on top of the old ones.

So the NPC dupication works only if i use the teleport control via admin panel, i guess the server needs to go trough a loading screen for the NPCs to duplicate.

Possible Log Bug: Event Log too generalized

Summary: Event Log does not display the name of the monster that killed or broke your things, even on a general level.

  1. Have an animal “killed by an Undead Serpentman” pre-patch
  2. Check the log now
  3. It will say “killed by an NPC”

I believe that’s not quite granular enough, especially if a player is trying to piece together the effects of a Purge or two.

I think you swung too far in the other direction. No, we should not be able to get infinite gold and silver, or several other resources, but all those loot items, like candles, bowls, arrows (especially arrows) and the like SHOULD still be something we can dismantle.

I guess I really should say please! Please let the bench dismantle most all craftable items. Just reduce the output materials to only what it would take to craft if you used a T4 thrall to craft them, so we can’t make infinite stuff.

I really love recycling all that junk loot. I hate just dragging it out and dropping on the ground. I’m probably odd that way, but real life or pixels feels just the same to me when being wasteful.

For now, I’ll reinstate the salvage mod, for all the stuff the bench can’t handle.

But overall, I am very pleased with this patch!! Love the Feat points most of all :slight_smile:

Testlive Dedicated server with a bunch of mods and specifically the level 300 mod that Multigun revived.
Unable to consume the fragment of power and I suspect it is much like the legendary chest looting, when higher than 60 while using a level cap increase mod.

Or possibly I just don’t know the magical way to consume these fragments yet. I’ve tried them fried up with butter and a little salt sprinkled on top, but could not manage to choke it down. Also thought maybe using on the scroll wall would do it, but no change from that either.

I could send this in private to Multi, but thought enough others would be encountering this same issue soon and could same some confusion by posting it here.

I agree!! Having the ability to recycle candles, arrows, junk loot
 is nice.

Please don’t scrap the idea of being able to recycle all, please work on a way to reasonably be able to recycle everything except maybe anything that was considered to be “alive” corpses, plants, etc


I will still enjoy the dismantling bench as is.

I have no idea how they work. It’s possible they have similar code structure like legendary chests, but I won’t know until I can see it in the dev kit. Which won’t be until its patched to live.

On VOIP the microphone icon still don’t show up over the one talking. Can you please make it so that when someone starts talking their name tag and/or microphone icon shows up. Preferably with an option to disable the icon in settings.

I had some Fragments of power in my inventory before this new patch just hit and I could not consume them. But ones I received after the patch could be consumed. Not sure if that is the problem you are running into as well. Just right click like any other consumable.

@Tascha I just wanted to check something. Probably a no brainer, but I will ask anyway. Will any extra feat points added by consuming a Fragment of Power still be retained after a respec? Ie- will it increase the base total/pool of points, or will any added points be lost thereafter? I hope this makes sense


Bug: Pets fully immersed in water will not automatically feed themselves from a Feed Box.
Private TestLive North America PvP Vanilla
Summary: Hungry or sated pets placed or set to “stop follow” while immersed fully in water will not automatically feed themselves.

Steps to replicate:

  1. Place croc under water, don’t build a Feed Box
  2. Build Feed Box
  3. Place food in Feed Box, and see all other pets grab it
  4. To fix, lead pet out of area and back to her place

Im beyond excited for a lot of these features. So far the mouth movements with VOIP are working great and the QoL improvements are something I’m looking forward to.

The only thing I have a concern about is the change made to the event log. I admin on an RP server and one of the big things we used the Event Log for was to have records of potential rule breaks, like excessive theft, which we could track down who did it because of the Event Log naming names. Without it a lot of rule breaks would be almost impossible to police. Would it be possible to make the nametags a server option or admin tool?

I got 2 fragment today but could not consume them. I run level 156 mod and legendary chest mod so you can open chest at lvl 60.
Do you just click/right-click on them to consume?

I did pick up 5-6 new frags, convert them to scrolls, then admin spawned another to try consuming, without success. Looks like Stinger has confirmed the same issue on the 156 mod.

Naturally it isn’t a big deal for the level cap increase mods, since almost all of them are designed to give you all the feats you will ever need.
