If on official server, then the short answer is: you can’t. Check you event log.

@Galandriel , If you play on Playstation the only thing I can do for you is to jump in your server and help you farm and build a new one. If you are new player you have to craft a repair hammer to check the decay timers. The decay timers for summer was more than 330 hours about 2 weeks. If you were on vacations and you didn’t log in then you possibly lost your base from decay. I am really sorry my friend, all i can offer is this, the game had always these rules but unfortunately not to much info about them. Now that you joined the forum it’s a good opportunity to read some of the official rules and gain knowledge for future problems. Either way, we are happy to have you here. Welcome exile

Like @Narelle said, the best thing to do is check your event log, to see why it’s gone.
If the whole base is gone, I suspect you’ll find that it decayed, because you didn’t refresh it. If only parts of it are gone, then something probably destroyed it. It could be different things, depending on the server you play on.
Without more information, there’s not much anyone can do to help you understand what happened. As for getting your base back, if you’re playing on an official server, there is no way of getting your stuff back. You have to build it all back and collect what you had anew.
If it was on a private server, talk to the admin and see if there’s anything they can do to help you. Some admins might be sympathetic.
