I cannot :pensive:! Only you can, ask from a teammate to help you test it! Build your self like this and ask him to come 1v1, a friedly game! A skilled one like your team, i am pretty confident that he will flee all the time! Try to corner your self, do not allow him to run around you!

Well, where are they? Because I’ve been trying different servers night after night and all the servers I tried are either dead or filled with very low skilled players.
If you have suggestions, I’m all ears. I’m trying to play now, not 4 years ago.

You’re a sitting duck with that build, @stelagel . It’s a nice build for pve, though.

Trust me, you wont be able to go heavy against a good player. You would get staggered to death. Doesnt matter how tanky you are

Very fun video. Good editing. Exciting battles.
Looks like healthy conflict.

Since this season is more stable, this one has been exploring a bit more PvP. However, this season has been the season of the drop bear, which is not the most exciting or glamorous of things. It was fun for a week or so, but the novelty wore thin. As was mentioned above, not a target rich environ on PS PvP. Lots of solos in Sandstone bases and occasionally a Gutter or Keyhole base bubbled. Not very active right now. Holidays won’t improve that.

Perhaps this one will take up gardening next server.

This is a speculation i already know as a speculation! Tank exists now, it didn’t before! For god sakes when did we had 1.9k armor and 900 vitality before @dorpie? The game has changed, i cannot test it anymore i play in a crappie console! I expect from others to test if possible and tell me what’s missing. A tank is slow, but it endures, that’s the role play :man_shrugging:. A slow player in your clan will become the easy target for the opponents, that will give the warriors of your clan the opportunity to hit easier from behind, it’s a tactical move. If you have a new player in your clan and he cannot pvp as you do, it’s best to give him-her this role! This way your new teammate will feel useful in group fights. Think a bit wider, out of the box.
Still it needs testing that i cannot do anymore, can you?

It doesn’t matter. You take a few seconds more to die, that’s it. Better said, you’ll die faster because you are slow. On a test, both you and a player with light/medium armor being hit simultaneously, you would take a little longer. On a live fight, you go down first. So you won’t be good even for a distraction. I wouldn’t call that a tank. There’s no such thing in Conan. 900 hp go down very fast when your movement is hampered. Do you know how fast a full agility build covers ground compared to a 0 agi build?
Think how long does it take you to kill a npc with 4x that hp. Seconds. Do you think 900 hp will help? Mobility is everything in pvp. High hp only helps. Mobility is the most crucial aspect of pvp. Don’t get hit. If you do, having higher hp/armor helps. But those extra points in armor won’t save you from the higher armor pen a lighter armor agi build will have when combined with his much superior mobility. You’re a stamina glutton. Not even steel thewed will help, because that’s more a pve thing, since you will seldom be hit for more than 25% of your health in each strike on pvp, especially now that the katana was nerfed. You’ll be dead before you know it. You’ll have to roll to heal and there goes your stamina, you’ll get caught immediately and even if you somehow managed to chug a potion, healing will be halted. No mobility, no options. Hp and armor are secondary.
A staggering unavoidable death. That’s the only thing that build will get you Stelio.

Edit: why would I be telling you this, if one of the things I would love to see was more variety in pvp? But the design of the game makes it very hard. One of the reasons I was pissed with the katana nerf was exactly that they removed some of it. Sure, it was very powerful, but Funcom could have tweaked it a little instead of nerfing it to the ground. My only reason to say this, is that the build you presented us won’t work. Against a noob, sure. But anyone who knows how to fight, even if not very skilled, will take you on and win every single time. I even find strange thar we’re having this conversation. You’re experienced. You played a lot of pvp and you’re not a crappy fighter. How you don’t see that the little tankiness we gained post 3.0 is only useful against dumb AI damage sponges is beyond me.

Steel thewed didn’t help against the Katana, because it did multiple hits in one dash. The reason of it’s high damage.

But yes, mobility and stamina are the most important things in PvP fights. Even if you do no damage, you keep your enemy staggered, you will kill him eventually, if you are better at dodging/avoiding hits. More stamina = more pressure applied.

Yes, it gave like 4 hits or something in a very fast sequence, rendering steel thewed useless. I never got to try it on pvp. Could you detect the different hits visually or it appeared to be just one? For instance, if a mammoth trumples you, you’ll get several hits while he goes over you if you didn’t roll out, but even if you get the entire damage, you can see you’re hit multiple times. As the katana dash is much faster and it’s not a dragging animation, I wonder if you still could visually detect the multiple hits or if it looked like a single one.

Poison. You had 3-5 poison stacks after (depending on server lagg and angle).

I see, @SirDaveWolf . Of course. So, on top of the raw dmg the opponent was still left poisoned. It was well thought, but very, very deadly. The fkrs who coated their blades are now regretting it for sure. So, besides that there wasn’t any other clue about the damage being cause by multiple hits instead of a single massive one?

You could see it as well with your own eyes.

Here is a video (you can watch it in slowmotion to recognize it better):

Oh and btw, the target has the steel thewed perk.

It’s clearly visible, @SirDaveWolf , thanks. No need for slow mo. Yes, nasty.
Katana goes very well with an agility build, sacrificing a bit of strenght and going higher in grit. I haven’t quit it just yet.
Yes, the steel thewed did zilch.

This is a video why I love the game. PVP is Soo fun . Only if they fixed all the issues who knows how many people would still be playing the game.

It’ll come back.

I hope they really just focus on bugs. Balancing and population growth. They really slacking. The game can be soooo good

We didnt, but we didnt also have the high dmg on some of the weapons like now. It kinda the same.

I have played against most top tier players on PC and some of them have tried going full heavy for fun. It didnt end well.

Like I said you will get staggered to death with heavy. Doesnt matter if you have 2000 armor and 2000 health.

Yes, balancing is their core issue atm. Bugs, always been there some worse than now, but also some is worse now than the past.
