I’ve been playing Conan Exile for a long time and I really love this game.
Unfortunately everything changed after the update 1.44, and for the worse. It got a little better between updates, but after the last update everything got worse.The game just stops and nothing happens.
I have to end the game. Since the game does not continue even after 10 minutes.
PS4 error code CE- 34878-0 is displayed.
In an hour the game crashes well and like every 10 minutes. Slaves (thralls) farms don’t make sense to me at the moment as they are rare and the game crashes as I approach my base. But even this has not improved after the latest updates.
I used to only have problems in my base with freezing, but this now also happens when building, exploring and also in dungeon. In short, the game has become unplayable.
I have a normal PS4 with 1T
-is connected to the internet
-Only play locally on the PS4 (external hard drive)
-No external server available
-Latest software installed for PS4
-Latest update of Canan Exile installed
-I already deleted the game and reinstalled it once
-rebuild the PS4 database
I really enjoy Conan, I can fight, collect, build and explore. But at the moment it’s just not fun to start the game every 10 minutes.
Conan Exils is the only game on my PS4 that ever crashes or freezes. This has never happened to me in any other game.
So you are playing a solo offline game is that right. If so are your builds really large. Have you tried playing on a online server official or private if you do how does it run then
Yes, i play a solo offline game. I have 3 large building und 3 small. I have only played offline so far and have never tried online and on a private server.
Like everyone else, you have to pay for online and why should I if it doesn’t work now?

Although I have already reported a few bugs, I can already think of two new.
As you’re playing on the PS4, you’re able to backup your singleplayer save to either the external drive or a usb pendrive. We’d advise that you do so and then try starting a new singleplayer session, to determine if the issue could be related to your previous save.
Alternatively, you may also try to play on an online server to see if the error code is still triggered.
If the error does not occur in either of the above situations, your save file might have some corrupted data that’s behind the issue.
its been like that the whole time for me too, it used to know when the data gets corrupted but since a cpl patches ago it dont anymore. sucks that we GOTTA play online or just keep starting over.
I destroyed two of my biggest bases and the game runs much better.
I personally believe that the PS4 cannot cope with the mass of building parts. In addition, I have emptied my inventory significantly and also left Thralls free.
This has increased my game from 10 minutes to over an hour.
I’ve completely uninstalled the game and started over. Unfortunately, nothing has changed about the problem. On the contrary, in the past the crashes only happened in the bases. But now it is happening everywhere and also in less time.
I have now started playing online. Since I have only a few components, raw materials and slaves at the beginning, it runs smoothly. I also have no graphic problems anymore. In the past, the textures of the mountains and landscapes always disappeared and were reloaded every 10 seconds.
Unfortunately, a lot of building elements disappeared yesterday and today I can no longer reach the PVE Sever EU “Land of Dreams”.

Fieldbreaker I am a purely Offline Singleplayer, and I actually have an idea as to what may be causing this, and as such I may or may not be of assistance here.
Fieldbreaker I suspect that this may be a bug which I also inherited after the last update. Basically if you now ‘need’ (explained shortly) to be connected to the internet to play Singleplayer. And if your connection drops out or is interrupted, even if only for a moment, the game will completely freeze and become unresponsive. It often does not crash straight to the dasboard like with a regular crash, but instead will just remain frozen there for no less than 10 minutes (that was the longest I was game to leave it in that state under observation).
The good news for me, and hopefully yourself also, is that there is a nice easy workaround. Okay…now BEFORE you enter the Conan Exiles application on your ps4 dashboard, first do the following. Go to ‘Settings’ > ‘Network’ > ‘Connect to the Internet’, and uncheck the box. I have found this workaround solves the problem for me. Just uncheck this box before you play Conan Exiles.
I find that I also experience crashes periodically sadly (different to the above ones), this is the more commonplace CE-34878-0 crash. While it is difficult to provide an exact frequency, after approximately 1 to 1.5 hours of play it crashes to the dashboard, then I have to go back into the application and pick up where it left off. The course of action I recommended above will help aleviate this a little with this, but I do still get them incrementally.
@Fieldbreaker just a couple of additional notes. To be on the safe side, it is also good practice to do as Hugo suggested and back up your save data periodically on a USB. If you would like to read my original bug report surrounding this issue, you may do so in the thread below.
