For some reason, after moving my Gportal server or updating Cookies Immersive Armours yesterday, the exe shut down again. Now i have the same issue again. Its a miracle.

Never had this problem up untill a few weeks ago. Tried bypassing that *** funcom launcher by changing the game starting directly from the ConanSandbox.exe in the steam settings, but the problem still persists: it takes quite some time for the exe to actually stop running, resulting in a continuous consumption of RAM. I had days where it wouldnât stop by itself at all!
I thought it was a problem on my PCs behalf, but apparently not.
Never had this issue. Sometimes it runs on for a minute, 2 tops, but Iâve never had to force close Conan; unless it locked up/crashed. But then I play on a brick, antique gtx1060 6gig.
Iâve been noticing this issue also. Just happened again last night.

I also have this issue. I exclusively play using BUGLE so itâs not related to the launcher. I havenât tested without mods to see if something is weird in there. But I can see that Conan is considered a background process now so even when it shuts down and no longer shows in the Apps section of Task Manager, itâs still located further down in the background processes which is what is keeping it âopenâ for me on Steam.

Using the Funcom Launcher (Steam).
If I just connect to the Funcom Server selection page without selecting a server, when I exit back to Steam the game shuts down normally within about a minute.
If I enter a game however when I exit out of the game back to Steam, it shows as still running, and running, etc.
I then have to use the "Stopâ button to end the game.

Same here.
I start the game over a shortcut after start steam. After press end in game, than the game shows in Steam as run.
This need a long time to close autom. I think its over 15 or 20 minutes, than close it self.
Or i close it over the task manager.
Iâve had the same issue where the process lingers even after quittingâusually tied to memory leaks or background services not closing properly. Ending it via Task Manager works, but itâs not ideal. In my own workflows, like using Phonexa for lead tracking, Iâve learned the value of clean exits and tight resource handlingâsystems should shut down as reliably as they start.

I hope this can get addressed soon. Last night I closed my game, turned off my dedicated server, and put my computer to sleep. This morning when I woke up the computer up, Conan was still ârunningâ. Usually I remember to just stop it after a few minutes but apparently if I donât it just goes until I manually take care of it.
Keep pushin Arthur, we can make it! Exe wont stop running.

I also have this problem. Had it on WIndows 10 sometimes, also have it after a fresh install on Windows 11. Some mods, single player, Steam, Funcom Launcher.
The game happens to crash more often, and got a corrupted file yesterday.
