This dungeon is awful.
It’s huge, labyrinthine, and for nothing, because it’s mostly empty, with a few very generic foes and no recipes nor lore.
If you fail to dodge one of the final boss’ attacks, you’re basically dead - either because it one shots you, or because it staggers you and the next attack is undodgeable and finishes you.
When you die, you spawn back to the entrance, so basically, if you often get lost in huge spaces like I do, by the time you return, your body’s gone, and on top of that, the boss’ HP resets, but your followers’ do not. I lost two lv20 aesir warriors with optimal perks, warmaker-enhanced legendary weapons and perfected heavy sets.
And the reward ? You get to repair legendary weapons, BUT you’ll have to go through the whole dungeon everytime ! Why bother ? It’s much easier to farm new legendary weapons…
As usual, the reward is far from worth the effort, and the boss only has a few different patterns, the low number of which is compensated by how fast and hard it hits, while bypassing it with letting your thralls do the job while you chill on the side with a mask is the easiest way - and the most boring, but the other option is going dark souls mode and I just don’t have the time to trial and error and find my damn way back to the boss everytime I fail to dodge ONE hit.
I was a bit hyped, and now I’m reminded of why I hadn’t been for so long - everything they do is so poorly balanced it’s just not worth doing. Honestly SAD about it, because it feels like Sunken City / Wine Cave all over again, so my hopes are collapsing once again for the future of this game.
