I’ve seen people comment that a high Survival makes thralls take less damage from poison gas and such. To any YouTubers out there, this is a golden opportunity for a video. Test thralls with high (50 or 60) vs mid (30ish) vs no Survival and use both poison arrows and orbs, see if their health ticks down at a slower rate while in the cloud or if the effect just goes away quicker.
The way the perk is written I would think it only reduces the time that they are still affected once the cloud dissipates, but I haven’t done any testing to see what the actual situation is.
The only time I’ve seen this stat useful and seen a measurable difference is against the Sand Reaper world boss after the acid spew. 8+ stacks on a RHTS took her to pound town for comparative purposes. But another RHTS with better survival didn’t melt as quickly.
But that world boss is paper thin so neither were in any real danger at any point. This is all anecdotal of course, but I it would be interesting to see an actual comparison.
i DID A QUICK CHECK BECAUSE I WANTED TO SEE IF 50 GAVE THE THRALL THE IMMUNITY PERK. It doesn’t It only shortens the after effects as well. If they are inside of a poison cloud, then they take DoT.
I would have to check. It may be slightly less, as it affects the dps of the ticks. But it was very minuscule if anything. not worth focusing a thrall level up on, but maybe an added bonus if it gets bumped a little.
yeah I seriously doubt it ever rises to the level of an attribute to be pursued, but it could mean whether someone is a good candidate for base guarding as such where gas might be a factor. Although in that case, legion warriors are a contender if you can stomach the reduced health…
