Yesterday I - finally - decided to test the system of growing pets. He created the Reinforced Corral, put two cubs of a saber-toothed tiger in it and completely filled it with exotic game. This morning (about 14 hours passed) instead of the young, I found a piece of rotten meat there. What’s this? Does this SO work ?
All game stacks decreased from 50 to 47-48, among them there were also a few pieces of rotten meat.
The time multiplier for creating pets in my pen is set to 5.0, the rate at which food is spoiled is 0.1.
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
Build a reinforced corral.
We place in it a cub of a saber-toothed tiger and a lot of exotic game.
If you used the T2 (reinforced) then the saber tooth cubs won’t tame in it. Need a T3 pen.
Here is a list of what each Pen can tame. he higher Pens can craft lower pens animals as well.
T1 Pen can tame Hyena, Shaleback, Gazelle, and Ostrich
T2 Pen can tame all T1 animals, boar, camel, croc, rocknose, shoebill, spider, panther, jaguar, tiger, wolf
T3 Pen can tame all T1 and T2 animals, locust, rhino, bear, frostwolf, sabertooth
Hope this helps. Also, shade spiced versions of food work way better for greaters and time (4 hours in T3 pens).
I can tame any pet in all 3 pet pens and I see no difference in taming speed between the pens, the only requirements I see is that you need to have all of them unlocked to tame t3 pen pets - This is on official pve server so no mods
Funcom removed the tier requirement from the taming system when they released it to live. In testlive the t1&t2 pens had restrictions on what babies they’d tame.
Jens confirmed the live game animal pens do not have restrictions. The difference between pens is their hit points.
If you are finding that certain babies can not be tamed to adulthood in t1&2 pens then it’s a bug that needs to be reported.
As Frillen and Kwalya said, I unlocked all three tiers, so any level of Corral works, whatever fits.
I put the cub in the slot and add 1 piece of food
—If wanting a “greater” version of the pet I use this list to find the food most likely to give a better result.
I wait impatiently and hope for the best
Once the pet is mature, more food of the correct type produces dung if left in the Corral, but does not affect the pet
I use the greater versions in combat and as a sidekick with a strong back
I leave the lesser versions at a spawn of animals that get in my way traveling from base to base, with a feeder
My problem now is that I feel bad when overstocked and use them for hide and meat
Yeah, don’t know why they changed it. Didn’t ever really see any feedback that said people didn’t like it on test live. Hell, until recently, i have just been building the T3. didn’t realize i was wasting mats:) May still do it, lots of HP and on a PVP server.
Although from the same website his link is specifically for pets, not creatures in general which include pets. It’s much easier to read and you don’t have to visually search for your creature.
I really enjoy the pet aspect of the game, you may too !
