I want to write about funcom admins (especially in conan game). They have strange logic. For example they can give you permanent ban for your big base. You can play fair, not using any bugs, not using any textures (i know several old players who were banned 1/2 times for using textures, but they still playing now). And i know 20 people who cant play because they got permanent ban just for their big bases… About 10 my mates got banned because their base blocked spawning of crocodile boss. 1) There are several same bosses in the game. 2) they are not so important 3) player can not know about boss spawning place BUT admins dont care. They will not ask you to remove your blocks or smth like that, no, they will ban you. And there are 2 interesting things. 1) they blocked some places for building but some places allow you to put blocks. It doesnt matter, its not admins problems - its your problem, you need to know everything, you need to think 10 times before build smth or they ban you because they doesnt care.
And 2) its my favourite. Collective responsibility. If you join any clan you have your responsibility for all your members. If this clan have several bases on the map and you didnt know about that - you will get ban. If someone from your clan will make his own undermesh chests and admins will find it, you will get ban too. If any your clan player will do smth wrong - you will get ban! Several bans - permanent ban. So you cant join any unknown clan. You need to watch every their action every day, every minute. So it is impossible to play with any clan and be in safe from banning! Just forget about clan playing. Nazis had the same thoughts about collective responsibility. Maybe Conan admins are their adepts. Just imagine, your friend will commit a crime and police will arrest you just because you are his friend. And it doesnt matter if you didnt know about his crime, you will get life sentence. Did you imagine this world? This is conan exiles admins world. So i warn everyone to think twice before buying something from this company or you will need to think 10 times how not to be banned. Its the first game for me where i got several bans. Its the first game for me where i got several bans for doing nothing. I got one ban when i havent played for several months at all but according to admins logic i had to watch for my clan mates even if i dont play or its my problem. Or i have to leave every clan when i want to have a pause in playing. And you cant be in 2 different clans on 2 servers because you will not be able to watch every step of your all mates and you will get ban. So as i wrote before, think twice before you will buy something from funcom or you can lose your money
If you’re permanently banned, that’s the only time you can appeal the ban. I suggest you attempt that first before getting upset about it on the forum. Admins punish the clan because they don’t know who was the offending member or whose idea the violation was. I recommend appealing and explaining your predicament. You might actually come across an admin that actually sympathizes with you.
Of course i did it. Admin said that i have to know all clan members before joining and i have to leave my clan if i want to play some time on different server. I told him that i even cant see where i have my character because this function (to see your lvl on each server) havent worked for YEARS for me and many others on ps4/5. I was unbanned but some my mates doesnt know english well for example to explain. Ok, admins dont know who did it etc but why they put this responsibility on players? I bought this game, i bought a lot dlcs and why i have to appeal something and lose my time? It is their work, not my! Once again, if the police dont know who committed a crime you or your friend what will they do? They will leave you both till they will not find enough evidences. But Funcom police will arrest everyone instead… i think that this is not true justice. I would write not to them but to the real court to compensate all my money, but unfortunately im from another country and it is too hard for me… but i know that i will never buy anything else till they will not change this! And i know more than 25 players with the same opinion like me from different countries…
This is exactly why. Collectively, your entire clan is responsible for maintaining a non-toxic environment. There’s not enough admin to “police” everyone on official servers, so therefore, it falls to the individuals themselves to report infractions. It’s a well-known fact to many of us that you never just randomly join a clan without feeling them out first. And yes, I’m aware of the level function no longer working appropriately on PlayStation because I play on PlayStation myself. I understand your plight, but I don’t understand how you’re taking the blame away from your clan mates and putting it on Funcom. I’m aware that their admin work can be a bit shotty and doesn’t always feel “fair,” but tbh, server terms of service have been posted on the login message for over a year now at least. If you and your clan haven’t read them by now, you have no one to blame but yourselves.
As for boss spawn blocking, that’s only an issue if said bosses are all blocked by clans or individuals and there’s no way to fight said bosses or acquire a specific loot. As I recall, there are 4 three-skull crocs. The question is, were all of them blocked? If so, were they all blocked by your clan mates? I find that hard to believe, but if they’re all blocked, even by different clans, that’s still a violation on whoever is guilty of doing it.
About crocs. No, only 1 of them near south bridge (middle desert). We had our base on that hight tower and we had only 1 wall under the base (not thousands of claim blocks). Another clan lost in battle and reported us (they used twink akks to make a lot of reports) and we all were banned. That clan banned 3 other clans that day too (they banned all the server). I read rules. Someone maybe not but it is my problem according to your words.
Yesterday i joined the clan with people that i just have met yesterday. I dont know any of them. How can i save myself from the ban? I can see only one solution. I need to leave that clan and play alone. I dont want to play alone so what can i do? If i dont have friends in real life who play conan for example? Not all players have 9 friends so they can join conan all together and have their own clan. I have played in conan since the very beginning and most players join the clan without knowing all its members… Right now im in 4-5 clans on dead servers. So one day i can easily get new permanent ban… that is the problem. I have too many risks if i play in clan. I think it is not ok. In other games there are no so many bans as here. I love this game itself but i really have fear to play it to get ban on my account and i dont want to make twinks etc, like other do (offending Sony rules)…
For example they can not ban permanently for just building. I can understand banning permanently for hacking etc. even for undermesh, but not for building on pvp srver. Ok, give to all 3 days ban, 1-2 weeks, but not permanent… and why cant they make any warning? Im working in huge company. Client are the main thing for my company. We will do everything before we will block that client. Above i wrote about 1 year ago situation, they even didnt have properly rules. Now they did better and rewrote it and put on the screen.

For a first time offense the bans typically are 1-2 weeks, for repeat offenders longer. The idea is that if you get banned for doing something, that’s the indicator to stop doing that thing.
I got perma banmed from having a base on southern aquaduct for blocking reaource spawns…
Cuz theres so many resources that spawn on a perma structure brick architecture. Build was around 6k which is extremely minimal when fighting off 20 enemies.
The devs are so disconnected, indifferent and cold blooded when it comes to this issue. Why woukd i buy anything from the bazaar or buy a season pass if my account gets banned and now i dont have access to thinga i spent real money on?
Cheating and exploiting is certainly understandable to perma ban accounts, i detest cheaters. However, perma banning accounts for “large” builds or builds that block a resource is UNACCEPTABLE. It is encumbant on funcom to fix these issues. Impliment build caps on officials and create more no build zones. Enemy blocked a boss spawn? Go wipe their base! Or funcom should make a no build zone within 20 ft of each boss spawn point.
Years ago i use to fight in wars where entire squares on the map were just a grid of foundations from players abusing landclaim so enemies couldnt build fobs / trebs. It sucked and made everything super laggy so im glad thats gone mostly but thats only because of the dev wipe meta.
Enemy clans will report you even if you legitimately beat them fair and square but theyre so salty they cant win that the resort to the wussie move of crying to mama funcom.
Ive got 1 perma ban on my main acct, never cheated and zendesk wont appeal the ban.
These people make me sick with their logic. Im not going to givw you money just so you can stop me from using the stuff i bought and its not going to stop me from aying on officials. Ill just make alt accoumts, goto black ice and hit lv 60 in 15 minutes. Really stupid solutions from the Terms of Service dept. Dont like my base? Okay wipe it, idc, but a 2 week ban? A month ban? A perma ban? Are you out of youre mind? You dont want me to buy stuff on the store? Okay then
Dune looka awesome but its made by Funcom. It wl be a buggy mess and eventually they will be abusing their players the same way too.

Yeah, so where in youre quote does it say anything about the size of a building alone being the sole culprit for a ban?
Except when Funcom comes onto the forums and says that its not a bannable offence to block world boss spawns.
Do we read the ToC and assume that they are rare content and you cant block them, or do we listen to those Funcom employees who say its ok to block them?

Notice how it’s always the same people hopping in to reinforce every negative thread that pops up every time too. I swear they treat whining on the forums as a full time job. Whenever I don’t like a game I just stop playing it, not spend six years of my life complaining about it near-daily.
If you’ve been on these forums for the past 4 years, then surely you must have been aware of the fact that all members are typically affected by bans on a single clan member’s actions. This is nothing new. Also, you surely must be aware of the fact that PvP servers are rampant with false claims or claims over something petty. Joining a clan with people you don’t know, and doing it several times on several servers, is absolutely your fault. Unfortunately, you’re a victim of the system and a victim of trusting people too much. It sucks and you shouldn’t be punished for it, but there are preventative measures that can be taken if you find yourself in that position again, assuming you can get your ban appealed. Nothing you can do about servers you don’t remember though, short of trying to log into every server in your region and seeing if it loads you in, or you’re taken to a character creation screen. If you get the former, leave the clan or delete the character. Tedious, but simple in theory.
I’m inclined to believe the Funcom employees personally. Also, if you must block a spawn, ensure it’s a boss that has no possible way to block every occurrence of it. Case in point, I have an alternate server that I’m building on that island with the demon spider. There’s at least one guaranteed demon spider that is impossible to block due to being in a dungeon. That being said, I don’t play on a PvP server where salty losers report players just because they’re salty.
I mean that’s pretty much why I don’t pvp in a nutshell.
Just like its the same people that sh*t all over people that start these threads. I guess some people have nothing better to do then belittle people.
If you dont like a game you quit it, but when you see a comment you dont like against Funcom, you sh*t on the guy. Makes sense to me!
