Thrall damage is ruining pvp. Keep the hp high if you want, fine. But thrall damage in pvp is ridiculous, i should never be able to get 1 shotted by anything while in high grade flawless heavy. It makes pvp fights less about skill and more about you and your opponent running in a circle waiting to see who will strike first so their thrall can have a chance to swing at you and kill you instantly. Couple that with the fact that the game has a lag problem.
Maybe there can be a modifier used on thrall damage where its still high against bosses but reasonable damage on a player? Im tired of fighting ppl that im better at pvp with but they just move around waiting for their thrall to do the work. Thats not pvp.
There has to be discussion on this right? I know im not the only one whos tired of fighting trolls who just wait for you to attack them so their thrall can glitch behimd you and one shot you even tho youre in the end game heavy
My pvp experience is limited to unofficial servers, so I don’t pretend to be an expert in the matter. However, it does seem like the thrall damage is way too high, both to other players and indeed maybe even to bosses. Whereby a well equipped high level thrall can almost one shot you in heavy armor with at least 30 vitality. That seems a little overpowered as a player regardless of their build would not have a chance of accomplishing the same feat. Now, I admit that the thrall AI is still somewhat dopey (for lack of a better term) which somewhat negates their high damage, but this isn’t really a good thing.
Ultimately, what I would like to see is better AI, meaning faster more responsive attacks from the thralls with real evasive maneuvers (actually rolling out of harms way) and less damage, more on par with what an actual player could deal out with high strength. I think this may also require an adjustment to bosses health pools though maybe not. As things stand now bosses might be a little too easy with a good thrall. Balance is a tricky thing, but I would definitely agree that thralls are overpowered now and balance has not been achieved.
PvP needs two things for it to have some semblance of balance again;
Thrall damage reduction: It makes sense for the dinosaurs in ARK to out-damage the player, especially the larger ones, but it makes no sense for Thralls to outdamage the player in Conan Exiles. If anything, only certain pets should outdamage players, namely the greater ones, and even then, only some, like wolves or bears. With greater pets being so rare to acquire, it would be fairer.
Avatars being re-enabled: Of course, this would only happen if they fix what caused them to disable them in the first place.
There’s probably other things, but they’re first to come to mind.
I agree. This is a major issue that’s caused a few clan mates to stop playing. People with bows and cripple, crippling you while their archer smacks the hell out of you. A single thrall should not be able to take out a small clan. It would be extremely easy to separate thrall damage to npc from damage to players. Please make the fix.
I’m on board with this. I basically do PvP battles by having a Berserker or Dalinsia with sword of crom, nortis, or aja’s bane just 1 shot you. I’m “good” at it, and truthfully kinda suck at actual pvp, but I personally would find an actual fight far more rewarding. Maybe I’d actually get better at pvp if I didn’t feel obligated to have a thrall with me to deal with enemies having one themselves. Where this issue gets really ugly is when you have somebody with endgame gear start griefing new players to a server. I’ve done it and you’re basically invincible. There’s nothing they can do about it because your thrall is indestructible against guys just starting out.
Totally agree. Thing is people been mentioned it before and nothing has been done against it. So sadly I dont think FC care about it. They dont want the players to play the game, they actually want the thralls to play the game for the players.
Also like horses, they are too strong aswell since they got released. But no change has been done so FC probably think they released a perfect version of the mounts. Wich they didn’t. PVP now is as unbalanced it actually could be. That’s why many good PVP players changing to other games.
Agreed. Most our clan wants to quit, strictly because of OP thralls and the servers rubberbanding, lagging constantlyyyy. Funcoms going to lose half of the 200 people that okay official PvP lmao.
