Thrall workers get killed by “thief (2)” in a totally safe zone inside my base. Who is “thief (2)”? In this server there’s only my clan of 2 players and none else can enter the server because there’s a password on it.
My workers thrall was inside my base at 2 different zone of my base and 4 of them died but not at the same time, not the same day too as you can see on the attached pictures… i don’t know how they could die, no enemies could enter and they couldn’t get out of my base because all the exit doors are forbidden to the NPCs.
Thieves appear in purges from threat level 3+. They are able to picklock open doors.
The (2) part I believe is a bug. It should be the number of times that event happened, and obviously the same thrall did not die twice. I think it may stack deaths if the victim follower was suffering from a status effect at the time of their death, but I am just guessing.
Bonjour! Can only agree with Tephra: It looks like a purge thrall got into your base.
It’s either a brand new bug, a very weird hack or… the result of another player’s actions.
Are you the admin? Maybe your fellow player just tested out the mechanic and removed the treasure room? Does the other player have a mischievious streak?
As others have already mentioned, the most likely scenario is that someone " purged" you. They simply built a treasury next to your base, launched a purge, and then lured attackers to your base.
One of the easiest ways to harm another player in PVE.
As far as I know, the new and improved event log no longer displays the names of other players, so 100% anonymity is guaranteed and it’s not punishable.
You don’t know who it was, and apparently no one responds to reports anymore.
I’m sure none launched a purge for 1 simple reason : I play alone with my husband in this server and we always play together and are in the same clan, so it’s just impossible. We started a new private server 15 days ago with password on the server so I don’t see how someone could launch a purge. In the log event « players » I can see only activity from my clan and n o other players entered the server as I know.
And more weird is that I have 15 thralls worker in the same room where my last one died and no else other thralls were harmed… If it was a purge they all would fight
Let’s see, you are on PStato, so no mods possible.
As server Admin, have you spawned in any usually untamable thralls as followers?
Have you checked in with your clan mate to see if they were up to anything unusual?
The above statement has the truth of it, that Thieves can unlock doors, but they don’t usually just randomly spawn. There had been noises random encounter spawns and such, but never that this one heard did they involve Thieves.
do you have some npc camp near the base ? I ask because “killed by thief” can also be triggered by an npc killing your thralls . there is a discrepency in the radius around a player that allows an npc to do damage that is larger than the radius around a player that a thrall/pet can deal damage in return , if unfortunately you stand right where your aggroed thralls can’t deal damage in return , even a deer can kill the best thralls with enough time ( like if you were afk for a bit ) .
Your crafter went for a long walk to Sepermeru, or to the 000 point and died. I remember in a specific Siptah pve-c server with @LostBrythunian the event log was “accusing” us that we killed our own thralls .
It’s a living settlements horsesh.t m8, you have done nothing wrong. Our fellow exiles in here assumed that it was a purge incident since thieves appear only there. But since you say that there’s no purge then all that remains is that your event log had to find a pitiful excuse to give an explanation why living settlements are not working correctly still.
If this actually was the problem, then there’s a serious problem with the log that should be fixed. Or is the log actually correct, and Living Settlements can somehow spawn thieves!? I still have doubts what happened here, but it should be investigated.
