I have this new Archer thrall, who became bugged after offering it multiple weapons and changing weapon configurations.
The thrall ceased to be able to engage any target.
In this case, I believe it did equip weapons, but was unwilling to swing them.
A graphical defect of an arrow in their right hand was present throughout.
I believe at one point I changed the weapons offered to the thrall, or just opened their inventory to have a peek at their progress. The first change of weapons was done when equipping them with armor. I’m pretty sure that they engaged with their bow, and I was experimenting with trying to get the thrall to use a melee weapon, so I took the bow away (and into my inventory). From that point on, things were messed up, until a day later, involving several game restarts.
Even with all weapons removed from their inventory and hands, they continued to hold on to the arrow and not engage in combat.
Eventually this thrall reset to a Good state, with the arrow gone. This was long after I stopped having it follow me, and left and rejoined the server as well as quit and relaunched the game.
Later, I removed the bow and returned it to inventory. The Archer would not engage with its bow, but just melee combat. I tried to place the thrall at range from a target, as Archers usually choose a bow at range, and switch to melee weapons once they are in close quarters. (not pictured)
Steps to reproduce (difficult to say, it was a one time occurrence)
- Archer thrall
- Equip with extra weapons, like a second 1 handed, and a shield
- Possibly assign an arrow to their bow, not even sure if they’ll use that class of ammo.
- Remove a bow from their inventory, possibly while they are holding it, after combat.
- If the glitch occurs, no amount of switching inventory will correct the issue.
- In this case, the issue was the arrow remnant in it’s hand, while it would not attack.
- Thralls have been messing up their selection and use of weapons, sometimes failing to attack even without the arrow present.
- Do Archers present special problems that Fighters / Performers / Bearers would not?
