My thralls periodically just do nothing. I’ll command them to attack and they run 2 steps and turn around to come back. The thrall command to have them come back to you when they are fighting works about half the time.
The “intended” nerf to thrall aggro is horrible and makes the game completely unbalanced. By that I mean, unless you play a high vitality/strength build just for combat, you can’t do most of the content anymore. I get 2 shot by a white tiger. I have a balanced build because I like harvesting and building. The game isn’t balanced around the player’s HP and damage, it’s balanced around the thrall tanking everything. Otherwise the thrall can’t hit the enemy while you are running around trying to stay alive. The game is completely dependent on having thralls that do the the heavy lifting, to include crafting and base defense.
Currently the game isn’t fun anymore. I enjoy sending my thrall to tank a fight and going in to support with extra dps. If you want the game balances around the player then max vitality on a player should give them the same health as the highest health thrall and max strength should give the same damage as the highest damage thrall. That’s my opinion and if you disagree that’s up to you but it doesn’t change what I think.
Right now it would at least be nice if my thrall would attack things, but if I can’t do any boss fights then I’m not going to keep playing. I’m not sure who you listened to that gave you the idea that most people wanted these changes. If the commands work I’m all for it, but not the completely useless thralls that don’t attack and can’t hold aggro.
