Game mode: Online official Type of issue: Bug Server type: PvE Region: EU Hardware: PS5
Bug Description:
After character transfer because of the recent official server consolidation (my previous server was decommissioned), I’ve now rebuilt my base with the parts I brought over in my inventory. When assigning my crafting thralls to a work bench, they all have reset to the same character model (white male, long white hair), and their clothing is missing or not visible. I suggest not visible based on similar behavior when placing a fighter thrall who, when his inventory was interacted with, had his clothing equipped (but not visible). Removing and returning the same clothing then made it visible. I cannot do this with my crafter thralls as there is now way to change their clothing to my knowledge.
Steps to Reproduce:
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. Please be as detailed as possible; the more details, the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
Refer to the bug description above
If this had anything to do with the server consolidation transfer, then start by transferring with thralls in your inventory
Place thralls from your inventory into a chest
Place a crafting bench (this happened on all of mine and i have most of them in my base)
Collect a thrall from the chest and assign it to a crafting station
That happens when they haven’t finished loading yet.
Pulling them and and putting them back in forces them to load.
If they aren’t loading on their own even after a few minutes, then you seem to be having a significant lag issue. Possibly your base is very large, or you have a lot of lights, or you have a lot of thralls, or your server’s hardware isn’t very good. Hard to say for sure, lag can come from all sorts of things.
Initially when I first placed / assigned them, i was there for a couple hours (I was rebuilding it) but have since left and returned, and also logged off and back on. My cabal of creepy naked dudes remains.
The problem is definitely linked only to Thralls I brought over from my previous decommissioned server. Newly acquired Thralls place and appear normally
I’d think this could be a fairly easy fix, seems like a flag or something on the thrall objects that was changed during transfer?
@Tephra many thanks for your help - just to confirm, you’re not a Funcom employee right? Sorry, just a bit surprised if I’ve not had any response to the bug report in 10 days shrugs
