Clothing/armor bug on thralls

I’m not sure what you mean by ‘server region.’ I’m running on my own machine. I live in New York: [Please enter your server region]

[Describe the bug here]

I noticed a bug where thralls sometimes, but not always, return to their default armor/clothing after changing their armor. I’ll give a fighter really good armor, better than their default gray tunic or Relic Hunter clothes, and they’ll be back in their original default clothes when I restart the game.

BYW, I’m in single player mode on my own machine. I want to get competent in the game before I join any PVP servers, so that I’m not a total n00b, lol.

[Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:]

  1. The easiest way to reproduce this bug to make it obvious is to capture a bunch of thralls, at least ten or so, either fighters or archers, it doesn’t matter whether it is level I, II, or III. I’ve been capturing them from that city where Conan hangs out in that pub. Put them all in a room together in your base to make it easy to observe them before and after.

  2. Remove all clothing and armor from every thrall’s inventory so that the thralls are totally naked. Obviously, you need to set both your server and your client to allow full nudity to reproduce this bug. But it’s a lot easier to reproduce the bug when you just remove all their clothes than to try to figure out what clothing has changed on them.

  3. Exit the game normally, and then restart.

  4. You’ll find that one or two of the thralls are now back to wearing their original default clothing, but their body/wearable inventory is empty, so there’s nothing to remove.

Hey @Fredashay

Welcome to our community and thanks for the feedback.
We’ve sent this info to our team so they can look into it.

Thank you! BTW, I also removed Debaucheries and Barbarian DLC, and unsubscribed from all my subscriptions (Lady Wheel of Pain, Conspirator Armor, Xena Warrior, and Squilonian Pleasure) in case that was causing the problem, but that didn’t fix it.

This bug has been around since long before either of those DLC was out. This would happen all the time with thralls at my clan’s brothel. Putting clothes on them and then removing it again would correct the problem temporarily, but it was always annoyiing to go back and find a few thralls (archers, dancers, etc) had suddenly developed a case of modesty. ^_^;

When this happens with my dancers they get fed to Rot branch. Tends to keep the others in line.

Hi, there is another bug, in the armourer bench you cant build the reinforced climbing boots and gloves, it asks for normal light boots and light gloves but does not work, obviously the other ingredients do light up, and I have bought the reinforced blueprint with a stone of power, I have tried all the light armor.

Hi, @A2Poncho, and welcome to the forums. Unfortunately, your issue really has nothing to do with this post or its contents. I fear you will not get any answers here for that reason.

Might I suggest you start another thread? If you do that, you could give us the details in the form at the top and save some time.

Good luck !

Regards

jim

Even though it’s made at the regular armorer’s bench, that recipe requires the Epic versions of the light boots & gloves. See my screenshot on the wiki, and you’ll note the purple borders on the boots/gloves which denotes the epic versions are needed.

And yes, as @Jim1 notes when you have a new issue, it’s appropriate to start a new topic so that it can be tracked and commented on properly.

Welcome Fredashay. Here’s a workaround for the bug.

  1. Equip you’re thrall in the desired armor, or nude if you want.
  2. Set the thrall to follow.
  3. Set the thrall to stop following. Do not set them to guard until after telling them to stop following.

At this point, the server sees the armor, or lack thereof, as the default armor for the thrall.

Thank you! That worked (mostly). I had to repeat the process on a couple of my thralls before the server noticed, but it definitely works as a work-around until they fix the bug for real! w00t!

Now, I’m gonna keep my thralls naked for a while before I risk putting good armor on them again, but thanks for the work-around!
