It’s a great weapon. Maybe even too good. It needs to be toned down a little bit. Have it start with just 20% armor penetration instead of forty.
What do you guys think?

Sure. Lets just nerf all rare legendary weapons so they are the same quality as we can craft.
No.
We hardly have any legendary weapons left after all the nerfs. Most of them are just for decorations nowadays. If you want to make it rare, lower the drop rate but straight up nerf, no thanks.
Stop trying to make the game worse. We’ve already gone through plenty of weapons nerfs that nobody ever wanted.
I don’t see a reason. The leap attack is easy enough to dodge, and leave the attacker at a disadvantage if you counter right.
No we have enough secret nerfs, nerfs that are not needed and just a ton of all around great weapons nerfed to ruin, no more please!! If you think it is to strong do not use it then no reason for a nerf right??
Please no more nerfs. I’d rather see some buffs to poop tier items instead to close the gap
While I understand what you’re trying to say and where it comes from, I still think there are legitimate reasons for this widespread attitude.
Yesterday I went to look for Emissary of Atlach-Nacha, hoping to get some more Mandibles, because I was planning to level an archer next. It’s not absolutely necessary, mind you, I just thought it would be fun to give my thrall some really good arrows. Bear in mind, I play on PVE. While I was in the volcano and chatting, another player informed me that the arrows have been nerfed from 100% armor pen to 50%. When I asked why, he told me “high armor pen upsets PVP players”.
Now, I get it. I really do get it. PVP balance is extremely important, otherwise why even have PVP mode? But the endless cycle of going from “hey, this is cool” to “is this even worth keeping now” starts grating after a while.
What’s the solution? Not a clue. I had an idea about “artifact tier weapons” in another thread, and I’m still convinced that would work, but I’m just as convinced that Funcom will never do anything like that. If I had to guess, I’d say we’ll be stuck in this cycle forever.
And that might be totally fine. But it does. Get. Old…
Nerfing or buffing of weapons remains useless as long as the solipsism of development secrecy as a feature remains.
In short, intended stats are not described in official documentation or patch notes. That makes it impossible to tell the difference between a bug and those “hidden gems” we hear about.
Are Serpent-man weapons supposed to be better or worse than star metal or dragonbone? Is the Tulwar of Amir Khurum underpowered or is it just supposed to be a white elephant prize?
Nobody knows because we have no expectation other than what the item stats say.
Edit: If it’s hurting the game, do say in detail, but rounding off the high spots just for consistency doesn’t work when there is no consistency.
