Too close to another thrall

Funcom Team,
I bought the Riders of Hyboria Pack DLC to build a stable. when I place my horses it tells me too close to another thrall. Sorry to grip about this, but this needs to be fixed. I can only put one animal in a four-block area

Anything less for your steed is abuse.

It’s been fixed in 3.0 (soon to be released). Now you can place thralls about one body width from each other - just like in a real life stable.

You have to read it? Haven’t you tested or used 3.0??? And you should already know that those patch-notes are never complete. There’s always a few things they don’t name. I showed this with the 2.8 release and it will be the same with every future release too. It’s just how FC works - it’s neither bad nor good, it just is.

That’s gotta be a bug since thrall stacking like that is against the ToS.

On PC it’s configurable even now in 2.8 if you’re playing in single player or have access to the server’s config you’re playing on. In ServerSettings.ini

the default value is like 500?, my setting of 100 brings it down to where you can place them next to each-other very closely.
I have no idea if xbox games have a similar file structure, but if so, maybe there’s a way to find that file there as well and edit it with some file browser app… never owned a console, it’s the devil’s alien device I’m telling you :smiley:

Yeah, @TeleTesselator is mistaken, 3.0 doesn’t let you place thralls that close. @Xevyr is correct that it’s a customizable setting (even available on 2.8). TeleTesselator must’ve changed that setting during the last Test Live, and just forgot about it. Sorry. :sleepy:

Well, if it’s the B-word let’s hope they don’t fix it. I changed no settings tho - in any TL version. Well, I changed the purge settings in TL3.0 - but only through the GUI.

Work around- Place two pillars (one may do) and then a ceiling tile on top of the pillars. Place your thrall on the ceiling tile. Then remove the bottom pillar. Your thrall will fall into place next to your other thrall.
