Transferring Characters from Isle of ShiptaH in a Local Single-Player Environment

I’m playing in a local single-player environment.
I exported my character from Isle of Siptah in preparation for the UE5 update.
I also have a separate character in Exiled Land.
In this case, how can I keep both characters and migrate to UE5?
I tried creating a new character and importing it into Exiled Land, but I’m getting a message saying that my existing character will be deleted.

a) make back-ups of your save files (Siptah and Exiled Lands) using a time-stamp before you exported. That way you should have a working UE4 version of each save, with everything safe.

b) wait until the update comes out, then, after you have updated, try importing the Siptah character to the new combined map. You should find that it allows you to have up to three characters.

c) if things don’t work as intended, go back to the UE4 (Conan Exiles Legacy) version (which should be available on Steam via the versions/betas tab), reload your backed-up save file for Siptah, try exporting the character again.

So mostly, just make sure you have proper backups and then wait for Tuesday.

I understand. Since I’ve already exported the data and saved the version from before the export, I’m all set.

Thanks for your reply!

Like Dan said.. keep backups of your regular UE4 single player games from before any Funcom character uploads and whatnot  They will come in handy
