Turn off BP EXP when DM or CM are active

We need to stop players from chezzing the battle pass to max levels. This is supposed to encourage actual playing of the game, it’s not meant for easy power leveling through the pass.

good luck with that.
tThe new system just made me put some blacksmiths, alchemists and smelters to work to cheeze through it to the daily cap.
Was more fun before with the challenges tbh

Maybe for you but I like to play the way I want and get EXP, I am not trying to rush and finish as fast as I can. I want to play how I enjoy and passively get experience for it. I would have every Battel Pass if they would have started it like this. I have goals when I play and I farm a lot of mats… but I never wanted to stop to do the challenges because it wasn’t the way I liked to play.

I care because people are exploiting the game macanaics. My believe is it was changed to be this way to stop people from spawning endless enemies and then instantly killing them… but people found another way. So best solution is to turn off exp for the BP if DM or CM are active and to also tag items that are spawned in during DM or CM so they can’t be used as well.

Players are paying for this battle pass. Might as well let them have the rewards

No there paying for extra content to unlock by achieving set goals set by leveling the battle pass. Not cheating and power leveling there way to max level.

This.

The admin panel and the mod option are part of the game and meant to be used by the players in the ways they see fit.

It is not a game mechanic.

And it does not affect you in any way if someone plays single player cheating the system for what they paid for.

Karen, is that you?

You and people like you are the reason why gaming industry is in such a terrible state. No, just no. Thank Mitra that you aren’t responsible for decisions about any game.

While this might slow some down it won’t work like you think. Let’s say I am just crafting thousands of shield frames that take insulated wood and twine:

I admin spawned in those mats and now they are tagged and I can’t get xp from them, fine…but what happens if I spawn in fiber and wood/resin and legitmately craft twine and insulated wood before crafting shield frames?

Let’s say the tag carries over, what if I have spawned in materials and added them to a stack of legitimately gathered materials? Which tag will take priority?

What if in my single player server I just set the gather rates to the max and go gather 10000 twine and 10000 wood/resin to craft shield frames without ever touching the admin panel? Sure that might add an hour versus admin panel but with my crafting rates also set to .1 it wouldn’t take long at all and that amount would last me 7 days until I have maxed the battlepass from 1 hour of work. How could funcom possibly regulate this?

The only true way to regulate the battlepass is to limit the xp gains to online official servers only, but I don’t even want to imagine the sheer hate from the community that would come from that decision.

It was worse before - we were finishing in like 2 days -people were admin spawning everything into the game in single player.

Dont worry though im not going anywhere and still playing everyday!

Thats a bit harsh eh? Maybe just disagree with them instead of blaming every problem plauging the gaming industry on their unpopular opinion. Seems you’re just as much the problem here. I don’t agree with the idea either, but I’m not gonna beat them up for it. People should be able to do what they want with what they paid for.

So what? It doesn’t influence your game in the slightest, you fraking karen.

Funcom said before the battle pass was even introduced, and reiterated again after, that they knew people were going to use the admin panel and mods to cheese the battle pass and they were fine with it.

Therefore, it is not abusing the mechanics or exploiting.

That’s the issue it effects everyone, your not paying for the rights to claim the items from the battle pass, your buying the rights to have a chance to unlock the items there not yours just because your buying the battle pass. If this was true even if you didn’t finish leveling up you would still unlock the items after each chapter only time your buying rights to the items is if you pay for levels, then your buying the items. But nobody owns the items or the game. That went out the window the moment we let companies stop making physical copy’s of anything for the convenience of having something quicker. If steam was to shut down or any company decided to delist there games because we’re basically leasing the game’s nowadays we wouldn’t be able to have access to them anymore. There are ways around it but nothing you can do legally.

If this is the case funcom needs to remove the option to buy levels and they need to make it so even if you don’t complete it you still unlock the items even if you don’t finish the Battle Pass, because right now there spitting in the face of players who are legitimately paying to unlock the items correctly.

Funcom doesn’t need to change anything. You choose how you play, and let everyone else have their fun with what they’ve purchased. BP offers nothing more than cosmetics and XP. This is honestly a strange hill to die on. None of these exploits harms you in any way. Just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean it needs to go. Sorry dude, but it’s really a non issue compared to everything else thats wrong in the game.

I bet you play on 1.0x exp rates or even higher. Spitting in the faces of those who play at 0.1x rates like real players do.

That’s how ridiculous your statement looks.

Actually I like playing on realism settings no EXP for Survival Time, 0.1 for everything else, really long crafting time a double mat requirements. Love realistic gameplay. But that nothing to do with the BP.
