Hello everyone,
It’s been some years I didn’t played this game and I’m really happy to see improvements in starting guides.
I have two questions for you players :
1-I wondered if there was an option to directly “Upgrade” already placed benches (keepong thrall and content) instead of needing to build an improved version, get every content from the standard bench to put it to the new one etc…I think I remember it was possible but I might be mistaken.
2-Is it possible to activate an option when crafting something in a bench that dont have required items “in it” to directly pick them from my inventory if I have everything on me ? It’s always frustrating having to put the items in the bench first.
If not I think it could be two nice QOL improvements.
Thanks
Hi!
#1 Building pieces can be upgraded in-place but not for the benches.
#2 There could be such option, but I think it would confuse things. We just got use to it.
If you haven’t played in years then I’ll inform you of the new building system. Building has changed you now need to build a construction hammer to start crafting structures and workbenches it does take sum getting used to.
God shrines are the only benches that get upgraded that way iirc.
No and no, not on officials at least.
Brilliant ideas that are not currently implemented.
If you play on PC, there is a mod for the crafting with materials near, but not in the station.
Also, as mentioned above, if it’s been awhile, the build system is much more like Raft now. In that you first craft a construction hammer (not the same as the repair hammer, sadly) and then use it to access build menus.
Snapping has gotten easier for some pieces.
Placement of tables and such, has not. For a few of the newer crafting tables, their collision box is outsized from what their appearance would indicate, so be ready.
