same cannot log in for the last few hours
Itās bizarre that itās telling some of you that Steam services are down. Itās entirely a Funcom thing.

I am just here to say I am getting the exact same thing. It seems like a login server issue. The servers are actually up. I have several friends in-game online.
I managed to load the game. Single player at least
Tell them not to log off lmao yeah, itās a login server issue.
Incidentally, same here, typing this out just to make additional noise.

A new player joins the game to take advantage of the free days and get a feel for the game. However, his first impression is quite discouraging: for some reason, the in-game chat is flooded with players complaining about losing all their items and asking for assistance to rebuild (this is the case on both official servers I play on).
Nevertheless, the new player persists because he knows that every game can have issues and he trusts his lucky, thinking it will never happen to himā¦ But then this same player decides to try out the new game mechanic of creating a room full of treasures. He extensively explore the surroundings and after many tiresome back-and-forths with no success (since the gameās RNG provides a terrible experience), he finally finds a treasure and manage to bring it back to his new room. However, the game didnāt explain to him that he needed to have a chest and allocate the treasure in a very specific and unique way in the game mechanics, so he simply dropped the treasure there as if it were a regular itemā¦ and poof, heās lost that hard-earned treasure (My wife would have experienced the same thing if I hadnāt been there by her side).
But hold on! This player is persistent, genuinely interested in giving Conan Exiles a chance. So he search for another treasure, going through the same frustrations of RNGā¦ And this time, he already has his treasure chest and allocates the treasure correctly! But to his surprise, after some time, that treasure vanished! Oh my god, I did it wrong again??? No, Itās a bugā¦
But okay, itās a new mechanic, it will get better! Letās give up on treasures for now and explore other game mechanics. But when he tries to give it another chance, the game simply wonāt connect, and the time he set aside for the weekend to play will be wasted trying to connect, searching the internet for whatās happening, and maybe ending up on this forum where, despite hours of the issue being reported, the company still hasnāt responded.
In the end, if he does not give up, he will be the typical Conan Exiles player! This cycle of frustration and the hope that one day it will improve accompanies everyone who has followed Conan Exiles since its early launch. It has always been this way, and it will always be this way.
Thatās why I said: this is the most honest advertisement that Funcom can present to new players.

I have the same problem, when it tries to connect with the funcom services it says, the steam online services do not respond

One day I will tell my great-grandchildren the tale of the great Funcom live services outage of June 25th 2023ā¦ And how it prevented me and basically everybody from playing Conan Exiles, because bloody steam auth is downā¦ One day.
This exact same thing happened to Rust a few weeks back.
Worst part about this for me is that I have actually owned this game since November of last yearā¦ but have not played it for more than 30 minsā¦ because nobody else I know plays it on pc.
Then out of the blue, a buddy of mine yesterday is all like asking me to play and telling me its f2p for the time beingā¦ Well I had news for him, I already own the game.
Hell I even setup a nice PVE server for us to play onā¦
Iām sure they will fix their auth server at some pointā¦ Odds are this is actually a steam issue, so Funcom is infact waiting on steam support lol

true, and I have to admit that if the game was in this state two years ago when I started playing it I would hardly have lasted that long
WOW more than 2 hours and still down? wtf nice way to kill a gaming sunday

Same issue for me and my girlfriendā¦ Canceled dinner with the in-laws to have a nice Sunday evening gaming session and now this. Although I have to say canceling the dinner was a good choice either way

Steam probably pulled the plug until Funcom fixes the items disappearing bug that they completely went silent onā¦

Why does this crap always happen during the few times i get a chance to sit down and playā¦ Something may be telling me to give up on playing this game but Iāll be damned if i donāt keep coming back

It would be really useful if they would acknowledge the issue and give an idea of the timeline for repair.

servers seem to be up and running fine, battlemetrics does succesfull queries. Just Funcom doesnāt let new log on through, appearently.

Minor update, I just tried again and it let me in. letās see how long it lasts
