I’ve noticed this as well. Adding even one very simple mod with no data content can double load times. Add 10 or 20 mods and load times become unbearable. And SSD over HDD only makes a slight difference.
Hmmm maybe PS prompts on ALL other games, but for whatever reason not on Conan. I do think you’re right! I guess @JimmyLondon will feel even more at home.
(RDR, GTA, WWE2K22 are all PS prompts.)
I recommend using the style of controller you are comfortable with. I use a ps5 controller because of the stick location. I’m not capable of adapting the other way.
I use ds4windows and ps controllers but I know that wiggle problem well. My ps5 controller hasnt had this issue because of the different connector.
No, there isn’t. Not unless they pause development so they can make your version of the game look like Conan Chop Chop.
You have the option of reducing loading times by switching to SSD. And depending on when you got your PS4, you may have that decision made for you anyway. HDD have a service life of around 5 years. They can go longer. I’ve seen some go 15+ years. But its about 5 years when you can begin to expect a failure at any time thereafter. SSDs can go much longer as their service life is determined by actual use.
SSDs are one of the cheaper upgrades for a PS4 and results in massive performance gains. If you’re not comfortable with the process, there is quite a few Youtube videos that will walk you through. If your friends are having the same issues, then the upgrade will benefit them too.
Don’t combat this solely out of principle. There is no reason FC should be considering support for HDD anymore on any platform. HDD is going the way of the one button mouse.
I found a use for full encumbrance! Character transfers! oh those are suspended. Well back to my custom build.
When these long loading screen happens its not just me but my clan mates/friends too playing on the same server. So it’s I can tell you its not a problem with my connection/Console.
