Unconquered - Leveling Guide / Tips

Hi All,

I started over Age of Conan again as i saw there was that new unconquered mode !

Created a toon, died a couple of times in tortage in that storage cinematic that was blocked while red guard were attacking and then decided to cutscene all of cinematics so it couldnt happen again…

Anyway, here i am, DT lvl 39 in gateway of Khitai, almost finished all quest here and i’m leveling with 100%mod xp potion i had from being vet.

Does anyone, have a Guide/tips on what’s the best/safest way to level after Khitai as an unconquered DT ?

I have Turan extansion but not the other 2.

I have checked some old guide that say i should go to Field of dead but as far as i remember it seems that when i used to play i overdid that map and im not enjoying the fact of going there again (unless it’s the only way)

So if you have alternatives for level 40/50 50/60 60/70 and so on for a DT !

Thanks again !

Dheluu

I’m working on my fifth unconquered toon atm. At level 40, I prefer OT Noble District. You can do the weapon quest series, poison quest to find the Raven, do arena, villas. At 40, one clear through a villa usually nets you a full level up. At 50, I pop over to Turan (pick up quest from Tali in Khemi), go watch the battle at the east gate, do the Fort quests, do quests from Artus to get into Dead Man’s Hand, and do quests / clear mobs there for levels. At level 56, you can add Paetus to Villa quests if you’re inclined to go there. Another option you have after level 20 is Vanaheim if you have the pac - mobs there spawn at your level when you zone in. In the 70s, you can go to Kheshatta to do intro quests with relative safety. Generally, I try to stay away from areas where I can be swarmed or accidentally fall off cliff sides (ie. stay clear of Atztels and Ymirs).

The way I usually go from 40 is Field of the Dead/Tarantia Noble District until 50, with exp pot you may run out of quests so Villa repeatables in Noble District can fill in the gaps. At 50 I go to Turan and do all quests along with Dead Man’s Hand daily run, which can give a lot of exp. I personally skip Eiglophian Mnts and Ymirs with this method. I’ve done them so many times and I don’t enjoy them as much now.
At around 60 I start Atzels Approach and Thunder River. Again, with exp pot you may run out of quests so do the level scaling repeatables . If you did Eiglophian and Ymirs you might be ok for level at this point.
70 onwards I go to Kheshatta. You can go earlier but I try and hold back until 70.
75 - 80 more Kheshatta and Tarantia Commons. Fill in with dailies and repeatables.
This is just my method and by no means the only one. Others will have different ways.

thanks ! indeed i wanted to be as far as i can from cimmerian maps.

I might take vanaheim expansion if it worth.

I’ll think i’ll stick to what bot of you said ie : Noble district and then Turan.

I’ll see what i can do once turan is done ! Atzel / Thunder or else

First you may consider running The Sanctum of the Burning Souls dungeon. It is designed for level 38-40 and can have some very nice drops.
The obvious place to go then at level 40 is Noble District in Tarantia. Several of the questlines there will later send you off to Field of the Dead.

At level 50 you have the choice between Turan or Eiglophian Mountains. Near level 60 you can go back to Noble District for the dungeons there (Cistern/Main System/Catacombs)

From level 60 you have the choice between Thunder River and Ymir’s Pass.
Then Atzel’s Approach followed by Keshatta and Tarantia Common district.

Thanks Erik,

Isn’t dungeon extra dangerous in unconquered mode as you never know what’s gonna happen and you are group reliant on surviving ?

  • i m a coming back player so as main tank i’ll have to step up on be extra careful.

I just have a small advise for leveling from level 40 on:
At this point many enemies start to do a kick or stun combo, this can not only be dangerous in bigger pulls but also with geometry. The villas in the noble district are a very good example for this, if you stand with your back to a wall in a bad angle a kick from an enemy might get you stuck in said wall, this can happen rather often so try to keep that in mind when facing lots of enemies.

I agree with you Dheluu… stay out of dungeons if you want to maintain your unconquered status, unless you are with a fully leveled group that knows what they are doing and they are just running you through. My preference was to solo level, since I don’t like PL stuff, so dungeons / DMC were definitely off my list. I did do all destiny quest dungeons as soon as they became available though… they are fairly easy if you know the strats and usually will result in a full level up.

#1: don’t die. That is all
