So to summarize:
The OP is not happy with the changes we, PC players have had to deal with for months and months. Did the OP not read the forums when PC got the updates? Did the OP think it would be different than PC?
Every rant about every change the OP made was hyper-discussed and dissected on these forums months ago.
I’ve never heard of anyone who just pve in Rust or DayZ… I have seen a few pve servers in DayZ, but I guess it’s less than 1%… obviously I’m on PS4 and we have no mods and I guess most people who RP are on PC with mods.
But overall Conan is way more pve/rp friendly, it has way more content suiting to the playstyles out the box. Yet Rust and DayZ are way more popular.
Yeah full loot / base destruction pvp takes kind of a ■■■■■■■■■ (that word for a person who gets pleasure from pain lol) to enjoy, but a bunch of people still do enjoy it. Bigger risk, bigger reward.
In “normal” (COD style) pvp you get a point on a scoreboard. In full loot pvp you get stories you still talk with your clanmates about a year later
We’re going to have a really crappy time on the forums in the coming weeks. The console players are just now experiencing a years’ worth of updates, all at once.
Look at it this way: we’ve had a year to gradually get used to these, and they came at us piecemeal. They’re getting all the changes together, and most of them only wanted bugfixes and Siptah.
On top of it, those few console players who followed the PC discussions and participated in them had no way of giving an informed opinion without shelling out the money for the PC version of the game. So most of them had to keep their opinions to themselves or preface them with a bunch of disclaimers about not being able to try the changes.
What @CodeMage said. We, the PC people, had enough time to share our feedback and opinion. It is time to step back and let the console people experience the changes and share how they feel about them now that they have finally had the chance to see what we were talking about.
I am just saying there should be no surprises here. But I guess not everyone keeps informed via the forums. The OP has not visited this forum in seven months, so I can see why he/she is overwhelmed.
I’m ridiculously happy to get back trees that I haven’t seen for a longggg time, makes things look amazing! Like someone said earlier, it’s the little things.
Also reorganizing the location of all my benches (and new ones) and chests to fit inside my main base is literally all I did last night and it was awesome haha
I’m sure the stamina and healing changes will be difficult at first, but it just adds to the new experience
As a console player I am not in favor of these new changes. The new benches require a bigger base, greatly diminished the power the T4 crafter and for me they have made thrall hunting a favorite activity of mine, nearly useless. I play PVP, PVE-C and PVE, I have to say I think these new changes have spell the end of Conan for me. I am going to give it a little longer but most of my enjoyment of the game has been taken away by the new benches and the diminished power of the T4 crafter.
