“It has recently come to my attention that it may be possible that some of the people who support our game are working in a callous, toxic environment.”
OK, I can understand that. Given the performance delivered, no surprise on my part…
“Having worked in a toxic environment, I understand what it feels like to be underestimated. Or not appreciated at all.”
I think everyone has had to put this behind them at some point. I like to differentiate here between “justified” and “unjustified”. Ok, you’re right, criticism can also be expressed objectively. But honestly, come to your heart, were these things known or not? Was it responded to or not?
“We don’t operate within their walls. So we don’t really know what they’re struggling with. It’s possible that they’re calling it in. It’s also possible that they’ve been buried under the headaches and wild mess of a launch (which I rather believe).”
We have different opinions on that. Where I work you have responsibility for human lives, my employees who report to me couldn’t afford such a “start” and I have to make sure that it doesn’t happen.
"I was able to get a bulleted list of the problems they’re working to solve. I call that a victory. And I wanted to be grateful. I wanted to let AndyB know that as a human being, I’m grateful that he made the effort “To come out and communicate with us and I hope that he continues to do that.”
I think that’s nice of you, but the only way from my point of view is to let people like Andy know what the mood is like. As I said, if it stays calm there is no need for action. We enter into a cooperation, they make money with us, we enjoy the game. FC isn’t really known for giving players enjoyment. We’ve been there for years and have a say, I think.
And why were the bugs that were reported ignored? On some streams you had the impression that people didn’t even know their game. Sorry if it hits Andy, this isn’t meant personally, I’ll give the messenger a message…
“I thank the people. That’s how I was raised. There was no encouraging motivation at all. I’m sorry you don’t see things that way.”
No problem, I think you’re a nice person, that’s fine. People are different. I was taught that you have responsibility for the work you do. I’m nice too, but if I’m paid for something, if I take on a responsibility, if I have to deliver something, then I’m responsible for it and must perform accordingly, everyone in their own area. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a cleaning lady who is responsible for cleanliness or a doctor who performs brain surgery.
That’s how I was raised, I can be nice in my free time.
FC has a responsibility towards the players and the game. If they can’t keep up with this, then make room for the next person to do it better.
In the end, everyone wants this game to continue to exist… fans and developers.
