Greetings Exiles!
We want to take this opportunity and highlight the updated Official Conan Exiles servers rules.
These new rules will be in affect 2026-09-30T22:00:00Z and will be replacing the current Official Servers - Terms of conduct, guidelines and procedures
This should give you time to alight with these updated official server rules.
Why we are making these changes?
The official server rules overlap significantly with the Community Safety Guidelines.
We are updating them so that they do not contain duplicate or slightly different information, and so that they correctly reflect our current policies.
Please read through and consider the spirit of the guidelines, not just the specific wording.
We may update these rules where necessary, for example, to reflect changes in the law or in
how the game operates. We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes.
Our goal remains the same - keep the community fair, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone.
No administrator support
We do not provide gameplay administrator support on official servers. This means that in-game
losses arising from gameplay — including those caused by other players, raids, exploits, or the
ordinary operation of the game — are final. We cannot restore, reimburse, or compensate
characters, character states, or in-game assets in these circumstances. For extreme, game-
wide issues, we may roll back servers to an earlier backup. Since this erases all progress made
in between, it’s a last resort we use only when absolutely necessary.
This does not affect your statutory rights, including any rights you may have where the game is
not provided as described or in accordance with applicable law. We will of course assist with
issues concerning licenses and entitlements at the account level.
No warnings
We do not generally issue advance warnings before applying sanctions. Depending on the
circumstances, we may give the benefit of the doubt, or we may proceed directly to a
suspension or ban from official servers.
Where we do apply a sanction, we will tell you the reason for it and how to appeal (see
“Information on suspensions and bans” below). The available sanctions are described below.
Official Server ban
Some violations will result in an account-level ban applied through BattlEye (see below).
Sanctions applied manually by our team apply to official servers only. This means that even
after a manual official-server sanction you will still be able to set up and play on private servers,
or play solo or co-operative games. Because these options remain available to you, we apply a
strict approach to keeping official servers safe.
Clan infractions
Clans are held collectively responsible for their shared property and shared assets. Where a
shared structure, a thrall name, or similar shared element is found to violate these guidelines to
a degree that warrants a sanction, the sanction may apply to all members of the clan.
Each affected player will be told the reason for their sanction and may appeal it individually (see
“Information on suspensions and bans”). Choose your allies wisely.
Reporting an infraction
To report players, clans, or specific exploits on any of our official servers, please contact us
through the in-game “Request Help” feature or via our Help Center by selecting “Report a
Player” as the type of issue. Our team will reply to you using the email address you provide.
Please make sure you provide the most relevant information you can at the time of your report.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Official Server ID
- Screenshots
- Picture of map marking the location of the infraction
- Videos with Timestamps
- Names of characters
- Names of clans
- A complete description of the issue
- The more information and details you provide, the quicker and more efficiently we can conduct our investigation.
Submitting your report in an incomplete state may result in delays.
We cannot refund or return any loss of property caused by an infraction.
Support Investigations
We do not suspend or ban players without directly investigating the issue. For each report we
receive, we try to collect as many reports as possible from the specified server and investigate
each report individually and hold reports of each type to the same standards. This helps us to
maintain context for how play is developing on the server. It allows us to take a broader and
more holistic approach to how we apply suspensions and bans.
Information on suspensions and bans
If you are unaware of the reason for a suspension or ban, or you know the reason but wish to
appeal the decision, please contact us via our Help Center selecting the “Ban Appeal” request type.
BattlEye bans are not managed by Funcom or able to be appealed through Funcom Support. If
you have a BattlEye ban, please contact BattlEye support.
Account Lock
An account may be temporarily locked in the event of a purchase error or payment reversal
affecting that account. If your account becomes locked, please contact Customer Support
through our Help Center and we will work with you to resolve it.
Build together. Fight hard. Play fair.
