Soooo,
I stumbled upon this bug. Not sure if it’s a new one or a known one, but it’s a first to me…
I cannot upgrade my altar anymore, no matter what I try… Took that one skull I placed on it away, moved priest away to the other side of the map and dedicated it to a bed, took everything out of the altar, logged out and back in… no use…
Anybody have a solution for this one please?
Two thoughts - no guarantees, but at least worth trying -
- try removing the crafting materials from the altar and putting them in your inventory instead
- try moving the altar’s position by using the radial menu

“While objects are placed on the building”, remove whatever placeable you placed upon it, then it should work, likely a candle or something.
what is this behind your back? remember when the alter gets upgraded it expands a little, so like nothing can touch it, only foundations under it.
A larger photo please, maybe it’s the area that creates the collision and needs to be reported also
