Vertical elevators glitched health at 0/50000

Game mode: Online official
Type of issue: Bug
Server type: PvP
Region: Europe

This is a bug I’ve encountered before when attacking others, but it’s the first time I’ve really noticed it happening to me.

Basically, a perfectly fine vertical elevator’s health glitches at 0/50000 even when having received zero damage, making it uneligible to be returned to inventory. When approaching it with a repair hammer, it says I need zero materials to repair it, but hitting it doesn’t restore its health at all. If I hit it with a weapon, though, their health will drop down to 49999/50000, allowing me to repair it and then return it to my inventory. This has happened suddenly for every single vertical elevator in my base at the same time.

I can’t really confirm this, but I have the suspicion this happens at the start of either PvP time or purge time (no way to reproduce this until tomorrow), as I’ve been placing and taking elevators all day until I noticed I couldn’t do it anymore, and it returns to normal health values either at the end of pvp/purge time or after a server restart (will update after each event to add data).

UPDATE: Purge time ended, elevators still glitched.
UPDATE 2: PvP time ended, elevators still glitched.
UPDATE 3: I just got in and I could take the elevators without trouble, so they are fixed after a server restart.

New vertical elevators placed during this time have this problem as well. Horizontal elevators don’t seem to be affected.

I’ve had this same issue on Xbox too.

This happens with a lot of placeable decorations, as well.
I suspect that they need to do a QA pass on item hp and verify that all items place correctly with proper hp.

I’ve been checking on it for a couple days and it suddenly stopped happening. So, no idea what the actual trigger for this bug is.

Hey there,

We’re aware of this issue. It’s a UI bug that sometimes it reports the incorrect value for HP, although functionally it still has the intended value. Our team couldn’t find a reliable repro case for it, but it’s on their to-do list.
Thanks for the feedback.

Hi Ignasis, I believe @Testerle has provided quite some details on this issue to the dev team and a possible solution. I have sent you the details in a DM.
