After finally convincing the war purge to start, several waves of Stygians get chopped up.
Then, all of a sudden, I get this message, “The Attackers have determined that they can no longer reach the coffers and decided to retreat”
This has happened four times in a row. I removed some thralls and golems. How can I stop this? When a war purge goes all the way through its very satisfying and rewarding. But sometimes this happens after I lose good thralls and I get zero rewards. I keep talking up the new purge to my friends that used to play, but until this gets addressed they wont come back and have fun with a purge.

my coffers are untouched, the door is open, the ramps are clear, there is a good wide path.
I do have a lot of archers surrounding the place, and several golems scattered around. I have mods that let me increase thrall followers to 6. They are all bearers at level 20. But I have had several purges complete with that same set up.
I try to avoid clogging the entry paths with guards or followers during the purge to try and keep them from retreating.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Every time I encountered this problem, the purge attacked from the opposite side of the access door to the base.
The attackers therefore had to skirt the ramparts; They stopped their tracks along the way to attack the defenders located on the ramparts.
As a result, none arrived at the main gate of the base and the purge ended with the message “the attackers have not found the way”. Are you in the same situation?
try destroy and build again coffer - this usually fix all purge realted problems
i must do this last time when server cant find place for purge base in huge open desert area
it has happened regardless of the side. The purge either spawns to the left or right, never in the front. They do have to skirt the archer ramparts but dont seem to have a problem with that.
I will destroy and rebuilf the coffer though. It cant gurt to try that
