We have not played on Exile Lands for a while but are playing at the moment. And yesterday we discovered enemies we have not seen before. We ran into a NPC Camp and suddenly there spawned those enemies and things they looked like large flowers or something like that.
I have doubt that events work in single player. Never saw one so far, despite hanging out at the Summoning Place a lot in the last week. Just waited/afked two hours in front of it - no event.
Will try it out with a private server later and report the results here.
This one has yet to have one spawn in their own single player games since Age of War started.
But that might be system dependent.
This one is mostly on a PStato.
On private and public servers they are definitely occuring.

For those who are looking for specifics, @KiahonfireOfficial made a video guide.
I have yet to see an event trigger in single player since Age of War started as well. I used to see them a lot during Age of Sorcery. Or at least, certain ones like the one at the entrance to the Summoning Place. Never once saw the one over Sepermeru, for example.
I haven’t confirmed this yet, but I’m guessing there was some sort of timer added to them like the meteor showers up north. If that’s the case, then in single player you’d have to camp out at a spawn location for a good hour just to have a shot at it appearing, which is not fun.
Mostly EL as of late. I have a siptah character and base, but have been on hiatus on it for a bit… so just refreshing. Haven’t checked siptah, but EL hasn’t spawned anything.
Encounters are enabled/disabled remotely by Funcom. Yes, even in singleplayer.
I have not seen any in a couple days either, it is possible Funcom turned them off again due to some people still getting crashes because of them. If they did turn them off again, they did not mention it.
