Uhh but also, pvp might not be for either party. Assuming someone’s identity is creepy. If you rerolled your character you might as well start fresh on a different server.

Did you all forget this is a game? In what world has his identity been stolen lol. Should I press charges for defamation and get paid in damages for what he has done and said?
Get real, this is all in a bit of fun from my side. This guy is doing so much that pushed me to do change my name for fun to confuse all his German friends in the game. He is salty living in his own head thinking he is being stalked, how are you being stalked? Grow up, you cannot handle the heat of pvp and that is it.
Saying I have assumed someones identity like I am out here cashing checks is a huge stretch.

My point still stands. Mimicry is flattery up to a point. Move on, reroll again. It’s no better than the turds that copy a clan name with an extra letter and build extra stupid to try and get the first clan wiped.

Depends on what you mean by harassed. You can submit a Zendesk report if it falls under any of the following:
If it doesn’t fall under that, you have the following options:
- learn to not pay attention to it
- mute those who do it
- go to a different server
- play co-op or single-player

Unsurprisingly, this is an unfair depiction of what happened. This forum is called “Players Helping Players”. @Kikigirl offered advice based on the information that was available at the time.

Here is the thing, I only came here to shine a light on the whole situation.
I am not going to report anyone because to be honest I really do not care to, I took it as the cost of doing business in pvp.
It was until he started crying on here I just spoke up. Maybe he has chosen to drop this, only time will tell.

Identity theft is a criminal offence in some countries, so the line you’re treading is thin.
If you are impersonating someone with the intent of causing them harm, or benefiting from using their identity, you could get into trouble. Just because Conan Exiles is a game, the other players are people too, with rights. Just as you have the right to sue for slander or defamation if the situation warrants it.
Please keep in mind that this forum is not a court of justice. We don’t have all the evidence. We won’t be making any official judgements (even though some of us may be making hasty judgements based on your narratives).
All I’m saying is, just because it’s “just a game” doesn’t mean you’re free to do whatever you please. People can, and do, get into legal troubles for their actions within online entertainment media.
